We hit a new spot today bc the one I planned for was disturbingly populated. We met a guy named Micah. Says he stops by here often cuz he has PTSD. Hope to meet him again.

One time in my mid 20s I was having a night walk with a new friend around town and we were talking and walking Fast

We got to the subject of philosophy and i was like meh its there, i know the guys im supposed to know and have absorbed almost everything i know about it secondhand (from ppl i knew in my life who were Very Into 'Philosophy')(this was already in part a lie bc I did Not know whoever the guys i was supposed to know were)

and they were like, oh, like, what guys do you know?

And I was trying to think of names I'd seen, and went "... yknow, ... Gilles... Deleuze..." as though those were two separate last names of philosophers

Gilles of course pronounced GILES like GUY-ulz

this is what I miss about myself the most. This memory has it captured very well. One o the best versions of myself to make it out
