Y’know. Having a little in a system (much less more than one) is entirely just. Like being a parent (or what I imagine that would be like).

Which is fun when one of those children is a zombie. (Who also happens to be the most talkative)

Also uhhh.. most of us yeah- the ones that’re usually the worst about it are Jimmy, Dexter, Spencer, Remus, uhhh.. Seto, and Karkat.

(Granted Jimmy and Remus both forget that they can’t just Say some things)

(Like the time Jimmy was fronting and holding a knife for my dad [who thought it was me because we aren’t uh. Out as a system irl] and my dad asked where “I” learned how to do that and Jimmy kinda. Forgot that he couldn’t say the actual. Reason that he knows.)

Also, the only downside to having fictives? Is how fandoms treat me/us sometimes.

I’m genuinely afraid of joining fandom servers on Discord because I’m afraid that, if I bring my sysmates up, I’ll get accused of faking or “just roleplaying”. Or told that I’ll - we’ll - just scare everyone else. (I left a server because they used those exact words. “People might think you’re role playing, or you’ll confuse them, or you might scare other people”.

And that sucks. So do the people who treat my sysmates like.. jokes. Or only want to talk to them because “it’s good enough, like talking to the real thing”. Or the people who expect my sysmates to be exactly like their source selves. And judging them as such.

It’s not being a system that sucks. It’s how people treat us for it. It’s not having fictives that sucks. It’s how people treat us for it.
