At one point in its development, the idea that would become System Crash was a PBTA-style game whose central gimmick was that it entirely lacked basic moves, and each player engaged with the rules in a completely different fashion based on what components their robot had. It ended up being unmanageable in practice, largely due to constraints imposed by the need to support fully randomised character creation, but one of these days I am going to figure out how to make that setup work.
