System ask meme - how did you discover your System?

•• How did you discover your System?

// I didn't actually KNOW that I was a System till I was in my 20s and those terms were more mainstream. I'd always had one alter with me since I was 13: Ritsuka, and he helped more than enough, with handling my growing up, the abuse, neglect, etc.

The rest of my System—a few other alters—made themselves known when I was in my late 20s, and I''m still learning about them all.

{ Okay, so it looks like I need to step in here, and help Zero manage their blog. They're unwell at the moment, and I understand the need for assistance.

As always, if anyone has any questions about anything regarding my writing, or me, the system, etc. please don't feel shy about asking. I'm here to assist Zero and be an asset to everyone to understand systems better, even if I don't know everything.

I'll probably be here for the ext few weeks, working on drafts, and being available should anyone need DMs. Zero will still be available via DMs & disc0rd. } ━━ Asher 👹

(( Some members; the quiet ones are artistic. One of them, my little likes to make art from plants and outside materials by pressing them between wax paper in a journal (though we haven't been able to because we lack an iron xD.) Still they've been collecting acorns when we go out, so we have a baggie full of them 😂

Honestly, everyone in the system enjoys art, weather or not they actually do anything art wise. ))

💾 - what's your headcount?

// currently it's 10, though it can fluctuate due to new fictives should they choose to be known.

🦖 - is your system fictive-heavy? factive-heavy? neutral?

// I guess it's a mix? We have 5 fictives, and then the rest of the system, plus myself.

🌊 - who are your frequent fronters?

// Myself (Zero), Ritsuka, and Asher are most frequent. We double host, and if I want to backseat, Ritsuka takes my spot. Aether (fictive of Genshin) tends to front when we're writing them in RP or playing the game.

(( SYSTEM ASKS || [ 👻 - do your alters/headmates have different voices or speech patterns? ]

// Some of them do, Ritsuka sounds different in our headspace (he's Japanese) but his voice is difficult for him to use when fronting, Asher sounds the same in the headspace and when he fronts (He's British), then there's one of the system who's Texan and has a southern accent in our headspace. Also, we've got a Little who will stay unnamed but she speaks very softly.

☕ - what is switching like for you?

// Switching is nothing too bad for us, unless someone gets triggered by something then Ritsuka (the system protector) will immediately front to keep us safe. I (Zero) don't necessarily blackout upon switching but I do get memory shifts/blanks when someone else fronts or I go into the headspace to get away from things, and every alter has their own memories and experiences.

🪐 - what is headspace like for you?

// The system headspace is like a number of small apartments where the alters live, and they're all connected by doors or open areas so no one is ever alone unless they want to be, and then they can easily conjure door, or walls to keep people out.
