The Cult of Ice ( aka the DiGalaxis Cult ) long jeered at Amethyst and Via for being ' soft '. But the Lust, Wrath, Envy and Goetia courts are literally ruled by different types of dragons.
And Amethyst may seem poised and elegant ( and a flirtatious coquette around Paimon when she thought nobody was looking ), but she is still a dragon. She just adapts to badass pacifism partially as a trauma response because she was a little girl and Mephisto was a teenager when the First Dragon War. They seen Ozzie being injured in the First Dragon War and did whatever they can to help him recover
Via is also a peacemaker, but she's still a dragon hybrid ( just like Veritos ). Veritos and Via just channel their apex predator instincts onto radical peacemaking and co founding the Imp Revolution from the shadows.

Since Veritos is the Regent Ruler of Purgatory since his young adult years ( he's biologically a young adult during the Imp Revolution ), some folks wondered why he is called Prince Regent instead of King
There are some good reasons to that :
. The Venetian Republic is ruled by an oligarchy and a succession of Doges through election. Venice never had a King or Queen, just Dukes and Duchesses. Sometimes they are called Princes and Princesses. The Schiaparellis have a few Doges down the line.
. Veritos is raised in a co custody arrangement between Hell ( Goetias ) and Purgatory ( Schiaparellis ). He was a teenager when the Second Dragon War first started, and that is when he first saw the blood on the Thrones of Stars that Paimon once talked to him about
. And that's also why Ipos allowed Veritos to spend more time in Purgatory. Ipos actually hasn't seen Veritos as much for 200 odd years to keep him safe from the bloodshed of the Second Dragon War. This was amongst the hardest things he ever done - to let go of his baby to a safer place
. Well, at least Ipos shows up to witness Veritos' coronation. That is when Via was a little girl. The ceremony was grand, but the atmosphere was tense. Little Via was in Stolas' arms, not really knowing what is going on till later
. Veritos' title as Prince Regent is also a parallel for the Venetian Oligrachy's distribution of powers amongst themselves, instead of just centralizing power over a person or just a family
