Hello friends. I am trying to raise money to help with paying for repairs to the foundation of my house. It is being destroyed by Carpenter bees! They’re tearing through the stone, the cement, getting to the wood underneath. Pics of the damage at the bottom of the post.
We’ve been working on removing the bees but we’re still going to need to get the foundation fixed. To this end, I’ve made a Kickstarter to raise funds to sell my Sploot Bees, Pride colours. And we reached that goal! So I decided to attempt a stretch goal, at $2500, releasing 7 more colourways including Genderqueer, Gay Men, Aromantic, Lesbian, Pansexual, and two extra colourways being a Systems Flag and just a pretty orange variant.
Also, here’s the original set that WILL be produced thanks to all of the amazing backers who have contributed so far:
Asexual, Genderfluid, Nonbinary, Bisexual, Rainbow Pride, Transexual!
I’m extremely happy that the above set has been funded and can only hope the second set goes through as well. This could be the start of a business for me to help out around the house, with more than just the foundation. I can’t work a normal job, so this is my best effort right now. Please share this around if you can, even if you can’t back the project, to help me on the way. Especially because the foundation is in terrible condition, and we’re really worried about collapse.

This is the general state of the foundation as a whole. 100 years old, cracks between the stones, but the bees are burrowing straight through the cement, which you can see in the upper left.
Here you can see how they kick out material to make the holes. We took these pictures when they were asleep, but hopefully we can get video of them doing this later.
Maybe the most insane part… THEY’RE BURROWING THROUGH THE STONES. If they’re doing this to the stones of the foundation, imagine the damage going on beneath it!
