Anyway, I was thinking about Bionicle G2 again, as one does, and I realized something about how the masks work in it. Unlike G1, there aren’t specific types of masks with specific types of powers, the only masks with powers seem to be the golden ones. The rest of the masks are just masks, and don’t seem to serve any other function than as decoration or armor for the Toa and Okotans.
There’s also the fact that everyone on Okoto seems to have the same mask in different colors, which is interesting. The only characters who have unique masks are the Toa and the villains(and even then most of the villains share masks and most of them only have “masks” in terms of the sets, in every other media they are shown to just have faces that look like the masks the sets have). The Toas masks look like their respective golden masks, so which are the masks of their elements, so I think that their original masks were made in the image of their golden masks to represent their elements. The golden masks are shown in the legends about the Toa, so the Okotans would recognize the designs of the Toas masks as representative of their elements probably ‘^^
A little Zaku Gundam that turns into a ball I found at Barnes & Noble the other day :)
Got to see cats the other day, and got this neat plush :)
I’ve decided to name them Cat ‘^^
Big fish mosaic and an update to my older small fish mosaic :)
First post of 2023 let’s go! ‘^^
Anyway, these are some new robot MOCs I made using parts from the lego advent calendars I did this year :)
The first one is Walt. He’s just a little guy ‘^^
The torso is from one of the gotg advent builds. I thought the trans orange curved tiles look like sad little eyes, so I went from there. He’s a little astromech droid inspired with the legs on the side.
The second one is Targan.
I was inspired by the Hoth turret build from the Star Wars advent, using that as the head and building from there. The 1x1 plate with two clip connections really made the articulation on this build work 👌
Hope y’all enjoy!
My personal design for Seawings I imagine they have a stockier build like Mudwings and each Seawing has a unique set of aquatic markings(though the markings are in roughly the same place for the sake of speaking aquatic). The royal spiral markings are the same for each royal dragon. Hope y'all enjoy ^^
My design for Nightwings ^^ I really like their cannon design, so I basically kept things mostly the same. I saw someone propose the idea of diligent flight and padded feet for walking silently, which I really liked so I added it here. I also like to think that they have good hearing and night vision, since they are traditionally nocturnal. Hope y’all enjoy!
