The Competition, TEAM #10 #SYTYCS
The night before i went through Bazaar, Vogue, InStyle, and Cleo. Saw Lanvin turn a shirt into a turban so asked Syakira to try do that just incase. We can use our own shoes and accessories. So i brought the whole bunch.
We arrived at 10-ish AM and was briefed by the organizers. In the room you could feel the tense,the eyes scanning their competitors, rating each other. I felt nervous and i just wanted to curl into a ball. Me and Syak couldnt think at all. But after chatting with each other,we agreed to go for Sping-Glam-Rock (a flowery soft glam with a dash of rock), walked around,doing atleast something even if it was pretending to look at lipsticks at the cosmetic section. We shrugged the nervous off and chilled at a huge personal fitting room in Parkson. Rozhana did her make up at Kanebo. Shared laughters and practiced catwalking with Rozhana which made us even more calm because we were having fun.
By 1pm, me and Syak went to pray and by 1.30. Everyone was starting to gather. And the event started at 2!
We were standing around the runway. Kind of unprepared of what was going to happen. Next thing we knew we had to grab clothes! So there were 4 racks of clothes and 30 stylist were ready to get fierce. 3,2,1..... it was like unleashing 30 famished lions in one go and theres only 1 prey. heres a video. It was insane. I and Syakira was sort of unprepared but at the last second i decided to snatch a bag first and it was the best move ever. Syak grabbed the studded bodycon dress, that was a win! By the time i got to the 4 racks they were almost naked! i just took whatever looked nice only had 1 second to look at it before someone would grab it. Then 10 secs after, met up with syak deducting the things we didnt want then 5,4,3,2,1 the two mins was up!! Hands in the air!

The Interview
As we were queueing to our interview about the things we grabbed, we regretting a whole lot of things. replaying each second in our mind.. Why didnt we grab that? why didnt we be more fierce? why werent we fast enough? damnit! We had 3 dresses,dresses. By that time, we panicked and we knew we didn't have a shot. Looking at what other people grabbed,they had so much prettier things! I was just like, lets just move forward and tried to think fast and try create something. We had studs (glamrock) and we had a spring floral dress! At the interview, I spoke. "I got studs and i got floral spring things so we are going for Spring Glam Rock style and i think i can impress the judges" I said with a big smile (liiiightbulb)
10 minutes to style
While waiting for the queue to start i laid the clothes down,i began thinking while Syak started on Rozhana's turban which came off anyway when we were dressing her up (haha!). Then get set, ready, style!
Me and Syak were buzzing. Studded dress first! then the Floral Warehouse dress! We folded the skirt part inside. Then Rozhana couldnt fit the skinny jeans,so we tried on the purple men slacks but they were unforgiving, so we just had to do a white chicks scene with the paul frank skinnies SUCK IT IN GURRRLLL!!!!!!! she managed to get in and Syak put on the studded belt! Glad she thought of that!
I was deciding on necklaces and at the last two minute I chose a neon yellow with gold beads to match the neon pink bag.
Shoes on! Done! me and Syak stepped back and gasped. We couldnt believe we pulled it off! We hugged each other and just made little screams, we were so satisfied with our look.
As we were walking out to the runway, Syakira said " If anybody had the same items as us, i dont they could they would able to create the same look"
