So, uhh... Some thoughts about Zojja and Mabon, I guess. Spoilers ahead!
Mabon's death hit Zojja pretty hard, that should be clear to anyone who has played through the episode. But I don't think most of the wizards around truly understand just HOW DEEP the pain goes.
You know, when Zojja was younger, and Snaff took her in? The only mentor that would have her, because Zojja was so snippy and cranky? Snaff gave her a home, a purpose. He taught her so many things because he saw what she'd be capable of.
Then he died, and Zojja had to watch how it happened. She couldn't save Snaff, could do nothing to protect him. All there was left, was to burn his corpse with her elementalist magic and bury his ashes in her lab. It's common knowledge for those who read the book.
She lost her first mentor in a very tragic way, and yet managed to move on. Till Maguuma, where the encounter with Mordremoth broke her.
Only Mabon was able to sew her back together, to give her a new purpose. Zojja, who feels like the world has forgotten her, abandoned her, has now found another mentor to take her in. To help her uncover the talents deep inside of her.
And once again, her mentor, the pillar of her new-found-strength, dies.
So now Zojja does not only mourn the death of Snaff, but Mabon as well. During the instance, she cries:
That's so hard. It made me cry, and I'm still so incredibly sorry.
Because I never forgot about Zojja, and knowing so much about her, I feel her pain. She has lost so much, and I'm not sure her friends in the Wizard Court fully understand just how brpken she really is.
