How I first got into it:

By that point I’d been a fan of the Tales series for years, so of course I had to get the newest one asap. I actually played the beginning (up to getting Rowen, I think?) twice, because I started a playthrough at my bf’s place and then restarted one once I went home. Or something like that, I don’t remember the details, but I remember doing the beginning twice haha.

I started with Milla’s Side, and it’s still the side I replay the most, even if Jude has a little more Chimeriad contents.

Everything I ship:

Gaius/Wingul: I didn’t really pay them much attention the first couple of times, but learning their backstories hit me with how well this pairing works and I fell in love with it hard. They have so much history together, and all their interactions are full of little wonderful details (the looks omg), I just can’t not love it. i wish its fandom was bigger but they suffer the fate of side characters orz

Jude/Milla: I didn’t ship it at first (mostly cuz I was expecting Alvin/Milla on first playthrough lol; also I had a period where I didn’t rly like Jude yeah i know wtf was wrong with me so I didn’t really like them together.) But @scrawlers made me see the light and I love them now. I love how they’re so good at balancing each other, and they have a really respectful relationship and good communication. I dig that stuff a lot now.

That’s the main ones. Other stuff I like or find funny are Leia/Alvin, Leia/Agria, Leia/Ivar, Driselle/Ivar, Presa/Karla, Rowen/Marcia, others I’m probably forgetting

My favourite platonic relationship(s):

The Chimeriad (& Gaius): Listen, they’ve found a sort of family with each other and nothing can convince me otherwise, especially not X2′s insistence that they weren’t Gaius’ friends.

Elise & everyone because it’s so precious, I love her development with everyone, it’s the best.

Milla & Leia (also Leia & Jude): ngl I expected Leia to be jealous and consider Milla a rival and be annoying about it but NO, their relationship is full of support and admiration and it’s great I love Leia she’s the best

Top 3 4 Characters: Gaius, Wingul, Elise, Milla

One of my favourite scenes:

Every instance of Milla being badass, all the Fezebel scenes, the whole taking back Khan Baliq sequence (basically anything that showcases Gaius and the Chimeriad tbh).

the closest ive ever gotten to cracky in any fandom ever so far would have to be my composer shiki au for twewy but like.......... its a crack premise, but its treated v seriously, so it doesnt quite count as a weird thing really rippo

okay so, hythlodaeus from ffxiv.

the thing about him is that its hard to say anything tbh - since hythlodaeus exists as a mere npc made for exposition at the technical level. it’s why as much as i do like the idea of him, in the end, i am quite ambivalent to him since theres just not a lot of him to go on about.

additionally, at the story level, the hyth we meet is (SPOILERS) a reconstruction from a memory, and the memory can v much be biased even if said reconstruction has quite the self-awareness of the fact that its not real and is just a construct made manifest. even so, assuming that the hyth we meet is a close enough approximation of hythlodaeus as he actually lived and existed - and anyway, theres a side story with hyth in it so not like theres zero canon evidence of what he was like for comparison, its just not a lot to go off - i gotta say, hythlodaeus is shaped like a friend.

8. What are three things you’re proudest of when it comes to your writing? Dialogue, descriptions, humour, romantic fluff, kisses, action, pacing, worldbuilding, setting, anything! Even small things like sentence structures and the way your characters banter counts!

id say descriptions, worldbuilding, and………… uh………………………….. my copious use of run-on sentences?? idk i Do like how descriptive i get and what interesting details i can throw in at once, but lmao not much on anything else rippo

9. What are three weaknesses in your writing that you’re very aware of, that you’d like to spend time working on to improve your works?

definitely characterization, dialogue and pacing. i am VERY bad at keeping my characters’ personalities consistent and to reflect said personalities via their speech. also bc i like to linger way too long on scenes sometimes so uh yeah pacing issues, occasionally owo;;;;;

10. If you were to visit your past self now and give them a piece of writing advice, what would that advice be?

PLEASE GET OUT OF THE CHARACTERS’ HEADS SOMETIME PLEASE THEY NEED TO TALK TOO NOT JUST THINK—
