‘T’ is for Tick-Tock, Tick-Tock.
DEATH! The clock is ticking for us all, you cannot avoid it, unless you’re God, I guess, in which case, thanks for following!
Your own death is kind of irrelevant, most people don’t know it’s happening when it is happening, the people left behind are the ones who it’s relevant to and I’m guessing that most of us have been there, felt that punch in the gut, felt that all encompassing grief that fills your day from the moment you wake up until you fall asleep, only to repeat and repeat.
Finally, grief will lift but never disappear, life bustles on, shit has to be done, bills still have to be paid, dishes have to be washed, books get read, appointments are made, dogs are walked, the same sun rises and sets, nothing really changes, everything carries on regardless and we have to do the same until we ourselves die and then, y’know, somebody else can walk the dogs and pay the bills but don’t touch my fucking books, you hear?
Beyond Love
Tank Girl (CHris Wahl)
The Danish Girl.
I just watched The Danish Girl.
Best part was catching glimpses of the RDB dancers.
Worst part was sitting in that tiny (but full) cinema and watching a movie that seemed to aim for being LGBT representation, yet only ever managed to confirm the straight tale that being transgender is weird and "give it up for the people around them, because it's oh so hard for them." Sitting among people who didn't know when to laugh and who laughed at all the wrong places. Leaving the theatre afterwards, feeling a little more alone in the crowd than you had when you walked in. Those were the worst parts.
It was a beautiful movie, aesthetically. Had a few scenes that touched the core of the stuggle. The acting was solid. The storytelling wasn't. I wasn't even disappointed as much as I felt empty.
Hopefully Carol won't be a repetitive experience next month.
Also, for some reason, they photoshopped mountains into the Vejle landscape. Man, I wish we actually had mountains anywhere in Denmark.

T is for Trivia Crack
T is for Trivia Crack
OMG, I love Trivia Crack. The only downside to playing it is that it makes me wish Grandma and mom were still alive, because I would force them to get smart phones so they could play with me.
We used to have EPIC Trivial Pursuit games. Not even kidding. We were ruthless.
This little guy wouldn’t be smiling if he’d been playing with us.
If you don’t have a smart phone, really Trivia Crack is…
