Yes, Lobco imagined that it would take a long time to recover from that. Knowing how loving a person Wadanohara is, Sal’s betrayal must have cut deeper than the sword he wielded; Lobco was well acquainted with just how much such an act could hurt.
It still hurt even now.
Yet here she was, moving forward. It was to be commended and Wadanohara had Lobco’s respect for it.
At the mention of the blood magic, however, Lobco wrinkles her nose. It’s not something they use often, and she’s always given plenty of time in between to rest up. Truth be told that wasn’t what bothered her; what bothered her was how she had been forced to kill so many people for no other reasons than the machinations of Sal. Lobco felt no regret given that she had helped save Wadanohara and her familiars but...the fact that scenario had only occurred because of that shark filled her with bile.
When Wadanohara dismissed Lobco’s warnings about how well she would handle Pitch Lobco couldn’t help but make a face. She didn’t doubt the witch’s skill, but Pitch World in many ways made the Red Sea look like a happy frolic through flowers.
Well, no doubt if and when she came to visit that Chlomaki would give her the same warnings.
“Only about five days more, so I’m certain we’ll have plenty of time.”
