Eloise: As was mine.
Eloise: Why can't we just hire a maid?
Aiden: Same reason we're living in a shitty apartment. All in good time.
TEXT → THREE
Eloise: Don't be so misogynistic. In this day and age, I'm never supposed to clean. That's all on you.
Aiden: Joke. It was a joke. You know I'd love it if you never had to lift a finger around the house. But unless you want me spending all the time I'm at home doing chores instead of laying around with you, you'll have to learn your way around a broom.
TEXT → THREE
Eloise: Live in filth and squalor.
Aiden: That's not happening. I think I'm going to have to show you the ropes to household maintenance. Shouldn't it be the other way around?
TEXT → THREE
Eloise: I think that was part of our marriage agreement anyways; you do all the cooking and cleaning, I just look cute.
Aiden: Sounds fair enough. What are we going to do when I start working?
TEXT → THREE
Eloise: They put Netflix on a new show and don't move for an entire season.
Aiden: That's probably a better idea than I ended up doing today. I started cleaning the apartment. It's a mess, by the way.
TEXT → THREE
Aiden: I'm going stir crazy sitting at home all the time. How people do nothing all day?

Eloise: I repeat: I am not getting on a boat.
Eloise: He's never in town. He apparently lives in Omaha, which is just as boring as Genova.
Eloise: You weren't supposed to notice anything but me. I was the bride, I was supposed to be the star of the show. Of course, you managed to almost outshine me. You always look so good in a tux.
Aiden: You're impossible. It would be great. And I don't think there's any city here less boring than the others. Schedule a meeting, make it happen.
Aiden: You were the star of the show. I knew you married me for my looks.
Aiden: Class is over. I think I'm as relieved as the students. Tell me more about what we're going to do when I get there.

Eloise: I'm not getting on a boat.
Eloise: Maybe if Greta and Berta leave, it could be manageable. Hire another 20something, or maybe even someone in their 30s or 40s who actually understands and appreciates art, who tries to get this place renovated and turn it into something worth coming to.
Eloise: I think the night was plenty memorable. Between seeing my mother and your father dancing to Cotton Eye Joe and my sister trying to upstage me with news about her pregnancy, plus, you know, the ceremony and all that.
Aiden: It's a ship. A large ship.
Aiden: I think you should pitch that renovation idea to the director of the museum.
Aiden: No one could've upstaged you that night, definitely not your sisters. You were... stunning. I hardly think I noticed anything but you.

Eloise: Excuse me - our honeymoon comes first, before anything. A week in Greece, or Italy, or the Caribbean. My gallery will always be waiting for us. I will only be this hot and young once.
Eloise: I think we're all glad it wasn't your great aunt - I think someone might have keeled over in shock instead of just passing out from alcohol consumption.
Aiden: You'll always be hot, but right, honeymoon first. I've been looking at cruises in the Mediterranean. We could hit Greece and Italy that way.
Aiden: Really, though, I can't imagine you working in that place long-term. Can you?
Aiden: It would've made for an even more memorable story, though. Just in case the night wasn't memorable enough.

Eloise: It's too late, my hopes are officially up.
Eloise: Let's give it a few years before we pour all our money into it. Get on our feet and out of that honeymoon phase. It'll be the perfect solution to spice up our marriage in ten years.
Eloise: We graduated like, two months ago. But yes, we've had fun our whole lives - it's why we had that big ceremony where I wore that white dress and my sister accidentally flashed the groomsmen after five glasses of champagne.
Eloise: Of course I do. It's a gift.
Aiden: Ten years? I don't want you to wait ten years for this. A couple, maybe. Until then, we'll save up all our money for it.
Aiden: It feels like longer. I guess marriage just matures a person. Ah, I remember that whole thing -- nice dress, nice night. I'm just glad it wasn't my great aunt flashing the groomsmen.

Eloise: Another reason I married you. Your ability to provide me with cake.
Eloise: Unless their name is Aiden Tucker, I would never take sex as bribery.
Eloise: We're not moving. We're going to save our money and I will keep painting in my vast amounts of free time until I can start selling something and eventually open my own gallery. We will make Nebraska cultured if it's the last thing we did.
Eloise: Do you think half those kids aren't sexting one another? Or people not stuck in summer school? And I remember boring math classes where you would often send me something downright dirty. If you want to be their professor, you have to be able to understand them. Get on their level.
Aiden: I said not to get your hopes up.
Aiden: We'll take out a loan if we have to -- you're going to have your gallery. It'll be our legacy.
Aiden: We did have a lot of fun back then, didn't we? It feels like a long time ago.
Aiden: You're right. You always know what to say, don't you?

Eloise: But I want cake /now/.
Eloise: Of course they'd love me, everyone would get an A in the class that doesn't have any point at all. So long as they brought me food, that is.
Eloise: Maybe if she wasn't so boring I would listen to her. I wasn't a history major, I was an art major, it is not my fault that Nebraska is sorely lacking in professions for that.
Eloise: If you come visit me, I can think of a few ways to make this afternoon pass by much quicker.
Aiden: If I see a bakery or something on my way, I'll pick up a slice for you. Don't get your hopes up.
Aiden: It has a point. I hope food is the only bribe you accept. Food and money, maybe.
Aiden: We'll figure something out. If we have to move somewhere else... we'll figure it out.. But you could have the first successful private art gallery here.
Aiden: Is that so? I probably shouldn't start thinking about that now. I still have a half hour to go.

Eloise: Unless it's actually Zac Efron, I think Dicaprio is going to take the cake.
Eloise: Now I want a cake.
Eloise: I could never teach a class, I would get more distracted than the students did. Unless it's a class on how to not pay attention to anything for more than five minutes, in which case I'm your gal.
Eloise: Maybe it's her daughter is having a baby, or her niece or...I don't know, she's like 60 and she has a cane that she 'accidentally' hits my ankles with at least twice a day. All I know is there is a baby being born and therefore she's not here.
Eloise: Somehow, someone would decide right then is the perfect time to visit the museum and I would end up fired. I can't get fired from my first job, the Met would never take me when we eventually run away to Manhattan then.
Aiden: DiCaprio it is. And the cake will have to wait until our little party this weekend.
Aiden: You're right. You'd be horrible. The students would love you, though. Everyone does.
Aiden: Maybe she hits your ankles because you don't listen to her. A baby, though, that's exciting.
Aiden: Manhattan? I think the culture shock would drive us right back here, anyway. Stay, then. Maybe I'll come visit you on my way back home.

Eloise: You will get them to care. Show them the Leonardo DiCaprio movie, that's what got me hooked. Any girl who can claim not to want to read more about Shakespeare after seeing that film is lying to you.
Eloise: Then you'll just have to make it interesting. Don't give them endless amounts of papers - find a new spin to the work. Give it /your/ spin.
Eloise: Yes, and all alone. Bertha's granddaughter was having a baby, so she had to go take care of the other baby or something about babies I wasn't listening. They gave me the keys and told me to lock up at 4 when it was empty.
Eloise: It's been empty since 11am.
Aiden: That one's not the worst as far as adaptations go. There's the old one with the guy that looks like Zac Efron. It's the most accurate. Girls like DiCaprio better, though, don't they?
Aiden: Make it interesting. Right. I can do that. Maybe you should just teach this class.
Aiden: Her granddaughter's having a baby? How old /is/ she?
Aiden: You could just lock up now... No one would ever know.

Eloise: Because not everyone thinks the Bard is someone to listen to. Romeo and Juliet is overrated and while he has some funny plays, the language is droll and hard to get into unless, you know, you're a lit major.
Eloise: You can do this. No one is better suited to be a teacher than you are, and you're not going to have 200 students, are you? Aren't you doing the smaller classes?
Aiden: Okay, Shakespeare might not be the greatest, but he set the stage. How can they not care? I'm supposed to get them to care. I don't know how to do that.
Aiden: I think I have one small, and the rest are big. They give the big intro classes to the new professors. That's what this other professor was telling me, anyway.
Aiden: Are you still at work?

Eloise: Did you listen to all of your professors with adept attention? What class are you even sitting in on?
Eloise: Plus, it's summer school. No one wants to go to summer school.
Eloise: You're going to do this. You /want/ to do this, and you love having an audience at your disposal. I'm not the only one who likes to talk.
Aiden: No... I paid attention in the interesting classes. And this is Intro to Shakespeare. How can they not pay attention?
Aiden: Right. You're right. I like having an audience when my audience is you. I forgot about... public speaking.
Aiden: Maybe I should become a CPA.
