Apprentice

One thing Pepper excelled at, organizing. People, ideas, departments, she had a knack for seeing what needed to be done and making it so. Very little phased her at this point. In her career she’d navigated so many different things. So once you got past the zombies outside the walls, things just became one more thing to organize.
The science section relatively small and already set up well by Dr. Morse and the rest they mostly needed someone to take over the little details so they could focus on the science. That and make sure they ate, slept and practiced good hygiene. Hardly a challenge. Which gave Pepper plenty of time to take on something new.
The process of forming a new education system out of limited resources necessitated starting a type of apprenticeship. A way for young people once past the basics to learn vital skills from others so important knowledge would not be lost. Pepper liked children, had the time and the ability to start tackling this. What better way to help them feel useful by actually making them useful. Important for moral and for their future.
One particular name stood out to her. Someone with plenty of intelligence and knowledge, but possibly short on actual experience. With age and practice came wisdom. No matter how smart you were it wasn’t something that just happened overnight. So this would be her first try to set something up.
“Hi, Amadeus Cho? I’m Pepper Potts. Do you have time to talk?”
