STORY OF FIRST KISS: First grade, recess, on top of the twisty slide. Morgan Williams was the cutest girl in his entire class, and she knew it. Brandon spent a lot of time chasing her around, trying to get her attention. So it was a Thursday, and the weather was really nice. Brandon had been waiting as patiently as he possibly could in the line for the slide, and in his little seven year old mind, it was taking weeks. He finally got to the top, and with much excitement he was prepared to fling himself down without a second thought. Until that cute Morgan Williams that he was so fond of asked him if she could ‘cut in front of him’, and while Brandon wasn’t originally about that (as a very every man for himself type of person) he let her do it. To say thank you, she planted a giant kiss on his lips and his face was stained red until it was time to go home. Her older brother (literally a grade above them) came up to him after school and pushed him down for ‘mackin’ on his baby sister’ and Brandon got detention for punching him in the nose.
STORY OF LOSS OF VIRGINITY: He lost his virginity to Brice Harvey, his elementary school sweetheart. They didn’t begin dating until the seventh grade, but he definitely had the biggest crush on her when he met her in third grade. They were best friends, and that was different for Brandon because he still thought that girls carried diseases. They didn’t begin sleeping together until their freshman year of high school because Brandon was convinced that her dad would end his life if he got her pregnant (funny story), and at age twelve he still sounded like the boy from Adventure Time. It was actually really awkward for both of them. Brandon had to buy condoms (which his dad later found because he hid them in the family bathroom of all places) and he was very timid about everything. He probably asked her if she was sure that she wanted to twelve times before he listened. They ended up being together from ages twelve to twenty, and Brandon ended their relationship after finding out that she was cheating on him while he was away.
A SOCIAL PERSON? Yes. He still responds to all of the crazy tweets he gets, and he’s a pretty great conversationalist.
HOW DO THEY THINK OTHERS PERCEIVE THEM? Brandon tries to be a nice, genuine guy, but in reality he looks like he would be a giant bucket of assholes. He thinks that people look at him and assume that he’s a horrible person who makes bad decisions and talks a lot of shit over the head set on Xbox Live. The last two things aren’t necessarily false.
HOW DO OTHERS ACTUALLY PERCEIVE THEM? Brandon is publicly known by a lot of people. They either grew up with him or they grew up watching him online. They know that he’s had a lot of downfalls and that he’s made a lot of mistakes, but they also know how much he’s changed for the better. His style, his attitude, his opinions. He’s grown. They see him with his son and the initial ‘stay away from this guy’ vibe is replaced with ‘awh wow look at what a cutie he is with that other little cutie he created.’ Brandon can’t read minds, but he makes a lot of people smile, so that must mean that he isn’t actually seen as a giant bucket of assholes, but a pretty cool person.
