Traditional dates were not something Adrian excelled at. Even casual ones didn’t really fit him - sitting down and being stationary for an extended period of time made him restless. The concept of a double date? Now that was just ludicrous. Adrian had the firm belief that whoever had invented the idea of two couples going out together should be subjected to hours of the mundane conversations that could easily happen on those sorts of outings. How he managed to find himself at a restaurant with on not just a date, but a double date, was still a mystery. He suspected it had something to do with the way he seemed to just agree to anything whenever Aurora’s lower lip jutted out in a pout.
Adrian wasn’t pretending to hate Alex now, but that didn’t mean he had given in completely. With Ellie’s ex back in town, the blonde was keeping a close eye on his friend’s new significant other. How Alex handled all of this was the true test of whether he could be trusted. Adrian had made the mistake of thinking the last guy was a decent enough person - and look where that hand landed him. He pushed his salad around with his fork, searching for the pieces not totally drenched in dressing while his other hand rested on Aurora’s thigh underneath the table. “Listen, all I’m saying is that if I cheated on someone, I would actively avoid going to where they work. It’s weird. He did it because you’re there. Someone back me up here.” He turned, looking expectantly at Aurora. @auroraminett, @ellie-is-epione, @yuxalex
