@sharp-teeth-and-wide-grins gets some gunpowder plottage.
Staring at the board of targets, the female assassins was in deep thought. The brunette had chin resting on her fist as she stared at it, contemplative of where to start.
The new additions to the string board was a drawn map of College Wharf to Buckingham Palace. Most of the targets were already checked off by the assassin’s careful hand.
Now all that was left was to pull off the grand heist, as Jacob would probably call it. But without his dramatic antics and high probability of a mini disaster added.
Evie turned to the door, expectantly. She had requested one of the newer Rooks to meet with her. One that had shown promise in this new plan of hers, and one that knew better than to go off and tell her twin she was hatching a scheme without him.
It had occurred to her, after the death of Starrick, there would be a scramble by any remaining templars for the new leadership. If she could postpone the election, it would give her more time to secure the Assassin’s (her, Mister Greene’s, and Jacob’s) holding of the city. So, they needed to root out blackmail, and find connections within the city’s elite to cause distrust between them all.
And what better than to do this at a party planned for the rich and powerful? And a masquerade, of all things, which gave her the benefit of infiltration without notice. She could hardly contain herself when the door finally opened and the man in question entered.
“Mister Chevalier, I’m pleased you accepted my invitation. Please, shut the door. I have a proposition for you.”
