Neatly dusted shelves, a spotless floor, bookshelves organized and in order, and a clean desk. Cleaning was one of those things Jieun often reminded herself to do, but mostly forgot to. Most of the time she didn’t even bother to try because she was just going to make a mess anyways. So this spotless room almost looked foreign to her.
She was used to scraps of metal and tools littering her floor, but with company coming over that seemed like it’d be a bit of a safety hazard. It finally got her butt into gear in making a container for all those kinds of things and she finally reorganized her tool box, so maybe all that cleaning had it’s perks.
She couldn’t remember the last time she had anyone over at her dorm. Generally, whenever she wanted to meet someone it would be somewhere else on the campus, like the cafe or the library. Mostly for safety reasons, what with her floor often being taken up by whatever project she was working on. This was a special exception since she had just finished one, nicely displayed on her desk. On her shelves were all the other things she had made before. Most notably there were what looked like a lot of lamps and bottles filled with liquids (but didn’t quite look like potions). The most out of place thing on that shelf was probably the metal hand though. A tiny pet project of hers.
And it just so happened that someone wanted to come over and see everything she’s worked on thus far. Jieun was all too happy to show Jiho after she had shown an interest and so the two decided to meet at Jieun’s dorm. After double and triple checking to make sure everything was in order, as if on time, she heard a knock at the door.
“Coming~” she threw open the door, a bright smile on her face as she greeted the other girl, “Hey, glad you could make it!”
