so how is val's brother vic doing? like, if not doing much, at least doing okay?
pretty okay. he doesn’t really know val that well.
My bnha oc can turn herself gradually into a swarm of bugs, which. I don’t think it’d be able do much to him but it probably would be Unpleasant.
oh it would be extraordinarily unpleasant. bugs can land on him without getting sucked in, he hates it
t-tornado replied to your post “is jacks ultimate dream to own a house boat”
imagine the silent kinship jack and valdo could have if jack could afford a grill and regular purchases of meat, and also didnt know maxine
the bond of men, and meat
Does jack like pinball? And if yes, how much of that is entirely due to the Playboy pinball machine?
yes, you can absolutely cleanly classify him as “pinball dad horny”
so in the xcom lp jack is one of the soldiers because that’s what that game is but like. in that actual scenario what’s the odds on jack absolutely being a turncoat collaborator Kent Brockman “welcome our new overlords” type
oh absolutely like 100%. but it is extremely in character that jack is terrified of failure now
so im starting to understand the way chuubo is played a bit better, what was getting me was the idea of specific actions being tied to specific genres, until i realized that it wasnt so much that you couldnt DO certain things in different genres, so much as that different things are rewarded with XP to emphasize different moods. with that though how often when you play do you have XP actions trigger for moves outside of the genre you're in?
yeah yeah 100%!! that’s exactly the vibe
in the brookwell library game i think we are all or mostly beginners and we tend to stick to the Pastoral actions? but the action is pretty quiet since we are just starting out, the scenes have often been along the lines of “our characters introduce themselves to each other and eat pancakes” (the mysteries and plot hooks are starting to amp up now though! stay tuned)
the GMD game has been running for longer (i joined at the start of a new book) and the players have more experience so the plot has thickened sufficiently and things do get mixed up more often there... there have been some decisive and wicked actions for sure, when the action gets to a higher peak than the Pastoral stuff can handle. and some rituals, i guess those are their own thing though. probably not more than... two, three times a session max? spread among different people? i would have to actually go and backread to get an accurate tally but i think that’s about right
do you think, when jasper turns someone into a big monster, she controls what they turn into, or is it more based on the person being turned? maybe something in between? i'd be curious to know what you'd think different characters would turn into in any case
i’m assuming we’re talking about jasmine apocynum because jasper irinka is not usually in the habit of turning people other than herself into big monsters - the general shape of things in canon appears to be “the monsterform is based on the person’s goals or emotional issues, but jasmine has some degree of input?” i could be remembering wrong
anyway i ABSOLUTELY want to draw this give me a min
