T-Wizzle (born Matthew Anning) is Mr. Up-and-Coming hiplife in Ghana.
His first record is due out around Christmas time and he's already had success with his first two singles, "Swagger Up" and "Akum Baby."
Also listen to "Wukele." This track has a stronger high-life influence. It sounds a little less mainstream hip-hoppy.
Hard work in the studio, immaculate fashion sense, and his willingness to give away songs paid off earlier this month when he was signed to Victory Entertainment International, located in the Bronx, New York. There's an element of luck in T-Wizzle's career as well. One of the first songs he recorded, "Show Tym," was graced by the presence of Lil Wayne who happened to be at the studio, liked what he heard, and jumped on the track [read more]. T-Wizzle's attack and flow have surely improved, but this track is certainly an early claim to fame for a rising star. You can hear a strong Lil Wayne influence in his songs as well.
FYI: T-Wizzle used to go by the moniker "King of Swagger" but has since dropped the title after an epiphany of humbleness for those who have swaggered before him.
