Despite his extensive worries and his initial determination to only allow one Star Fleet representative aboard his station, Odo had, eventually, relented and allowed a small delegation. That had been several weeks ago, and he'd been surprised to find that the members of the first delegation had no idea who he was. They also seemed to lack any knowledge of or ingrained negative reaction to the Dominion, though several had been able to pull up information when they looked and had seemed concerned by what they found. That trend has not continued for long. The more recent groups to board the station were formed of people who, Odo gathered, had had a more traditional experience with their history. They were more wary, as a whole, and rightly so. His people were just as wary of them. He just wished he knew what they actually wanted, past cultural exchange.
Odo kept an active eye on the visitors whenever they were aboard. This was based in curiosity, primarily, but also in a healthy protective instinct for those under his care. He watched as one of the visitors, a doctor, spoke with one of his geneticists, but didn't interfere until she began to look anxious to continue her work. Then he stepped into the space, pushed her back towards her station with a gentle touch and a telepathic reassurance, and offered the young man a bland smile. "Yelis has assignments to attend to. Perhaps I could interest you in another area of the station."
