she felt like she was never out of this place, always back and forward as much as she was with the bookshop. noa approached the front desk and reached into her bag for her purse.
"hi, i'm here to sign some forms and pay a fee for my parents."

she had dropped off her brother at one of his friends houses after they escaped the most recent fight night that was happening back home. noa walked through the trailer park, purposely moving slower than usual in an attempt to drag out returning home when she saw bryce walking her way
"do you know if they're still giving the wwe a run for their money?" she asked. it was no secret the type of people her parents were, they had been causing trouble for years.

the call had come into her work that her parents had been hauled into the station. embarrassed to ask to leave, she promised she'd pick up another shift to make up the hours, and with that noa grabbed her bag and left the bookstore and headed towards the station. entering the building, she gave elijah an apologetic smile
