The sun was out and the surf was great. The beach wasn’t too crowded, either. That meant the waves also weren’t crowded. Luckily for Beck. He was having an off day. His mind was unsettled and he was just on edge. He felt tense and unable to let it go. It was the reason he found himself in the water. Surfing was always a good outlet for him. It used every muscle he had, including his brain. Made him focus on anything other than what was in his mind. At this point, he still didn’t know what it was but it felt like it was buzzing in his ear with an annoying hum. After what felt like his hundredth wipe out in a row, the blonde body surfed his board back toward the shore. When he was shallow enough, he stood and tucked the board under his arm. With his brow knit together, Beckett made his way to his belongings in the sand, angrily standing his board upright. He sighed when he saw a familiar face, hoping she hadn’t been there long. “Did you see me nearly drown 20 times?” he asked, pushing his wet hair from his face as he sat down on his towel.
