Skylie was terrified. Positively terrified. She had no clue where she’d fallen into, and the only thing keeping her out of the water was the barrel she clung to. The eerie blue glow it gave off had gotten her attention higher up. It was when she had tried to pick it up that they both took a rather long tumble into a pool below. Far too deep for her to try and stay swimming, too large for her to swim to either side. 

She was a poor swimmer on top of it all. Skylie whimpered every time the barrel shifted under her. “H-help me! Is anybody out there?! Help!”

The stronger your bond with Trico is (more barrels found and fed) the more tattoos The Boy will have.

are you sure it's the barrels? because jack's shite at finding barrels, but he pets trico a LOT (which, to be fair, is a reasonable expectation of anyone with half a heart) and other playthroughs that are doing a barrel run seem to end up without quite so much ink... idk man. maybe multiple parameters fit under "bonding" and there's a multiplier
