“I love and trust my girlfriend but I kinda-sorta-really wanted to be Mr. Rapunzel one day, so if ya’ll could GET THE FUCK OUTTA MY WAY, that’d be great.”
Cassandra is the perfect mix of confused and terrified whenever a cute girl shows her affection and WHAT A MOOD
Minute detail here, but I just realized Rapunzel and Eugene pronounce Cass’s name differently. Eugene says Cas-san-dra, while Raps says Cas-sand-dra.
I doubt it has any meaning whatsoever, but I like little things like that. We all say stuff differently!
Cassandra’s being a major dick here, and she definitely needs to apologize, but I also understand where it’s coming from?
Cass doesn’t feel respected. She doesn’t have anything or anyone behind her, rooting for her. She’s got mad skills, but she’s not even a guard. Her entire job revolves around making Rapunzel happy. I understand why, seeing this challenge as her chance to move forward with her life, she’d be angry to see Rapunzel come in and treat it like a game.
But to Rapunzel, it is! It’s not her fault that she was never properly socialized bc of her abusive kidnapper. It’s not her fault for taking “I’d love to compete with you but we can’t” at face value, assuming Cass just honestly didn’t know, and is now confused why her best friend is being standoffish and mean to her. She probably just assumes it’s part of the weird game and strikes back.
This is the sweetest way I have ever seen someone be accidentally embarrassed before, my god.
SHE LOVES AND RESPECTS HER GF SO MUCH SHE ENTERED A DEATH MATCH FOR HER
LIKE GODDAMN
Eugene WOULD be a medieval wrestling fanboy
And then they went home and sparred until they couldn’t spar anymore.
That’s all, folks! I didn’t have much to say this episode, but that’s only because it was a simple plot; an introduction to Cassandra’s dreams and hopes. It was pretty good otherwise!
