hi love im using theme 128! which i love btw. But i had a question. I read the post but I can't find what size the header image is. Like what size the pic needs to be? sorry to bother you!

for #128 and the background i did the background-color thing and it shows up in the menu but when i upload a picture it doesn't show onto the theme?

hmmmmm maybe it’s tumblr having a little glitch? because that happened to me yesterday too :( try changing the name, if the picture is called “background image” then just change that to “background imaget” (everywhere the name is mentioned though, has to fit) and then upload it, maybe that works :)
