📖 Episode 1 of ?
Heyy!!! first of all, congrats on 100+ followers!!!!! secondly, I saw your post and was wondering, could you write something using the flirting prompt for zooble? thank youu:-)
Request: Hello!!! May I request TADC x puppy-hybrid-type-character male reader, specifically with zooble and jax? head canons (sfw and nsfw)! i was thinking how reader is very physically affectionate and sometimes needs hugs, pats, cuddles (occasionally a dicking down-) and jax and zooble get competitive about who gets to help their puppy, zooble thinking jax is a bad influence and jax absolutely thriving making zooble jealous (maybe making zooble watch him fuck you-) thank you!!! :)
Sadly I didn't do any nsfw headcanons this time so just sfw!
Neither of these two are that great with physical attention, though Zooble handles it better out of the two.
Even if Jax finds you cute, he will shove you off whenever you hug him in front of the others. Starts rambling about how “You can’t keep your grubby little paws off me, huh?” He cannot handle any affection given in public, gives you minimal back, the most you’ll get is a quick headpat.
When you two are behind closed doors, he’ll let you cuddle into him with slightly less teasing, while it’s fun he also enjoys seeing you comfortable. (Would never admit that to anyone.)
Zooble on the other hand isn’t embarrassed unlike someone, they’re just a bit awkward about it. Might grumble and go stiff when you pull her into a hug but doesn’t push you away. More likely to give you a head or shoulder pat when walking past.
Doesn’t change much when it’s just you two, though Zooble prefers not to entertain you in their room due to all the loose pieces around. (You’ve run off with a few limbs one too many times.)
And don’t get the started when it’s the three of you, Jax ups his teasing and bullying, he believes it’s because she’s here. Constantly telling the rabbit to knock it off before you get upset.
Half of the time you don’t even realise he’s trying to be mean, though they both panic when you do notice and get upset.
Zooble is warning you that you shouldn’t listen to Jax, he’s a bad influence on you. Never stops you unless he’s going to get you hurt, which Jax exploits to the max. Finding all the ways to push their buttons before she steps in.
Most ‘nights’ you’re cuddling up to one of these two, which starts an argument that’ll continue until the next day. The one who you sleep with is so smug about it, though sometimes their arguments continue for too long and you wander off, often running into Kinger and end up falling asleep next to him.
I know you JUST posted it, but I read the 'Jax and Pomni comforting a reader with abstraction thoughts' headcanons and I was wondering if you could do something similar but with Ragatha and Zooble?
☆RAGATHA AND ZOOBLE COMFORT YOU WHEN YOU HAVE ABSTRACTION THOUGHTS☆
ofc I can!! tysm for requesting anon :)
☆STARRY NOTES☆ : fem!reader, featuring Gangle for two small parts in Zooble's section
she is outwardly caring and tries to be everyone's best friend, therefore— she doesn't, unfortunately, notice as quickly as she could have.
she was worried, beyond worried, about what everyone thinks about her. But you- YOU listen to here like no one else. You're like her second Kinger, just younger and in a more romantic sense
So when she opens your door and instead sees you drowning in your own insanity, glitching out and sobbing and just losing your mind—
She freezes. She wants to help but her mind is blank and she has no idea what to do
She hates to admit that she did nothing to help you for around a minute before she snapped out of it and rushed to you, trying to help you calm down
Since she waited, your symptoms got so much worse in that time frame, so it took her much longer to help you come back to her, to get grounded once more
As you cling to her and the immediate panic and danger was gone, she lets out strings of apologies for waiting for so long, letting you suffer
You open up about your problems. About wanting to disappear, to just go away and be okay again
She promises you that she'll be there for you from now on. Focus more on you, be around you more often and make sure you're okay
She stays with you far more than before, staying overnight in your room to make sure you won't abstract while she's not there to help you
☆ZOOBLE☆
most of the time, they're not on adventures and away from the gang besides you and Gangle
Even if they are incredibly detached from the circus, they are not detached from you and Gangle.
So when they notice how you're acting like her but, like, SO much worse, they start to worry
They found you in the process of abstracting, but instead of freaking out like they expected you to, you seemed so calm. Content with where you were heading.
That alone, that detached, resigned look of yours, shook them to their core.
Moving as fast as their body would let them, they made their way over to you
They aren't one for PDA. That isn't their thing, but this time, they make you look at them and calm down, making sure you're grounded to this world before hugging you
All they want is for you to be okay. After the process is gone they sit there for hours or however long you need them to as they listen to you vent about your problems and want to feel better, how you don't want to be "alive," with how "alive" you can he here
They reassure you that you always have them to rely on. Even more, you have both them and Gangle for support if it gets bad again
It takes time, but those reassurances slowly make you feel better.
Hi, can do resquest Zooble x fem reader oneshot, where in another adventure where it is a skyscraper and restaurant where it is a jazz night. Ponmi noticed that Zooble was ignoring everyone and looking at an NCP who was dancing with a frog NCP and when he tries to talk and Zooble explains that that NCP was someone from the circus before but that he abstracted himself, Ponmi thought he was a friend of Zooble until Zooble replied that he was his couple
Well-lit Stage ✦ Zooble

The 70's vibe of the skyscraper was something Pomni could respect. When you've been on countless adventures with bright colors and cartoony logic, she can't help but relax her shoulders when Caine gives a realistic surrounding.
Everyone was dressed in their own fancy clothing and, for once, Zooble was here, dressed in slacks and white dress shirt.
Kinger walks up beside them. "I thought you'd stay back like you usually do."
Zooble shakes their head and lowers their voice. "I wanted to get away from Caine today. He's just been irritating, and me being there means him checking up on me every few minutes. Thought I could take a break from it all."
"Well, let's hope you have a GREAT time here, Zooble! It's best for young people like you to step outside every once in a while."
"Hey, dumb dumbs. Get inside the elevator or you're going up the stairs." Jax yells as Ragatha holds the elevator doors open.
The highest place on the skyscaper, rich with soft carpet and golden architecture. When they walked through the double doors down its hallway, they couldn't help but revel; The bar was tinted with orange, yellows, and white lights—a soothing atmosphere for the patrons to talk and laugh. Despite the crowd being NPC mannequins, they all had their own selection of drinks and communicated about different subjects as light jazz played through the room.
Gangle looks up at the stage. It appeared to be closed and dark.
The members all seat themselves at the bar—Gangle, Ragatha, Zooble, Kinger, Jax, and Pomni—all ordering their own drinks and laying back, soaking in the place.
Ragatha stirs her glass. "Never thought Caine would set us up in a place like this."
Gangle hesitantly smiles. "I think he wanted us to feel comfortable. He did say his errands would take a while to do."
"What errands does he have to run—How many apples he can bob in his mouth?" Jax jokes as he sips his water.
Pomni sniffs the air, the scent of cigarette smoke and alcohol mixes in. She notices a thin layer of smoke waving through and attempts to fan it away. "Nobody's even smoking in here."
Kinger points a finger up. "Back then, a lot of places allowed smoking indoors. It's the reason why photos and cameras picked up that smoky, glassy tint. They stopped this because people with allergies or lung problems got irritated with the smoke and so—"
"Hey, old guy, no one wants to hear about your facts from the 70's." Jax rolls his eyes.
"I am not old, I'm in my prime!" Kinger deflects.
The audience behind them simmers down as they clap harmoniously. The group all turn in their seats to see a spotlight hitting the closed stage.
The curtains part to reveal a woman holding the microphone, her head ducked down, shadowing her features. The band behind her, where the light didn't hit, stood still before adjusting themselves to their instruments. Head still tucked, the woman turns over her shoulder and nods, prompting them to start.
The light sound of cymbals and tom drum hits, a skillful clarinet plays alongside the soothing beat for nearly a minute before a feminine voice sings out,
There's a spark of magic in your eyes
Candyland appears each time you smile
Perfectly, some of you bandmates sing out low 'Oohs' in the background.
Never thought that fairy tales came come true
But they come true
When I'm near with you
You're a genie in disguise
Full of wonder and surprise
The woman's head then lifts up slowly, revealing your face. Your eyes remained shut for a moment before they fluttered half-lidded, almost content.
Meanwhile, Zooble's heart drops as they fight the urge to vomit.
And
Betcha by golly, wow
You're the one that I've be waiting for forever
"No... No!" Zooble shuts their eyes in frustration and quickly turns away from the stage. "Godd[@#$!]it, Caine!"
Ragatha and Gangle place their hands to their mouths as they watch their friend use their hand to cover the side of their face. Kinger gives a dismayed look to Zooble, placing his hand on their shoulder. Jax, for once, looks genuinely uncomfortable for a split second before putting on his signature smile.
"Not fond of seeing your ex, huh?"
"F[@#$!] you!" Zooble growls, making Kinger yelp and take his hand back.
"Jax, that was rude of you! Apologize, right now!" Ragatha scolds, rightfully angry at the man.
"Oh please, one breakup and they're still not over it? I sure would be." He says in confidence as he looks up at the stage.
His vision steers and he sees an NPC's face covered by a violin before they adjust, revealing their frog avatar.
His lips fall flat, eyes widening before he slowly looks away and awkwardly sips his drink. Zooble drags out a groan before hopping from their seat and walking towards the outside patio.
"You're only avoiding the elephant in the room!" He announces. Pomni retorts by hitting his arm before looking towards Ragatha.
"Is this another thing I should know?"
"Ah—hmm. Well, yes, but... Mmmh." Ragatha stammers as she looks to the side and clasps her hands on her lap.
Gangle then looks up from the bar's counter to Pomni. "It'd be better for Zooble to tell you. I think they would appreciate someone lending an ear."
Pomni acknowledges Gangle's words as she turns around. Behind the giant glass window, she sees Zooble's figure near the patio's railing.
She gets up from her seat and walks to the glass door. Opening it, she revels in the warm air as she walks over to Zooble's hunched figure. When she reaches besides them, she sees their shot glass in their regular hand—half of its contents drained.
"Zooble."
"Hm? Oh, hey, Pomni." They mumble as they stare out into the city. Specks of dotted color and dust reflect back in their vision, the orange and red dots below signifying the cars that drove in the streets below.
"Are you okay?"
Zooble stirs their glass. "No. No, I'm not okay." They adjust their body on the railing, "Just when I thought I could have a good day, Caine decides to insert some f[@#$!]ing bull[@#$!]t somewhere!" They throw their arms up, nearly spilling their alcohol. Pomni ducks down to prevent herself from getting hit.
She places her hands against the railing as she tries to look up at them. "Gangle told me I should hear it from you. If you'd like to talk about it, I'm here now."
Zooble places their arms back on the railing as they contemplate. Despite the hurt they were feeling, it wasn't like Pomni wouldn't figure it out sooner or later. (It would've been preferred if it was later, but it seemed like Caine had some other plans, whether it be his choice or not.)
"That singer up there," They turn their head to the window revealing the inside of the bar, "I know her."
"Oh? Really?"
They turn around to look at the stage, prompting Pomni to do the same. "It was before you arrived. Caine had set up an adventure for us and she was there. It was some dumb musical adventure with [Name] as our guide. It was annoying as hell, but surprisingly, she wasn't." Pomni turns around to the window and sees you swaying your body and arms to the beat. "She was adaptive, kind, head-strong... Didn't even take s[@#$!]t from Jax." They think back to when you punched him square in the face.
Pomni tries to give a comforting smile before it changes into curiosity. "You're making it seem like she was with you guys for a while. Did she ever... break from her code?"
Their eyebrows downturn. "I accidentally broke her. I broke her reality, made her freak out about where and who she was." Pomni looks at them in shock. "It took some time to calm her down. Still, to this day, I feel so bad. She even told me that it wasn't my fault, but it was and if I hadn't—" They swivel their head to Pomni, who gives them a look of understanding.
Zooble sighs tiredly before leaning back against the patio.
The shorter woman fiddles with her gloves fingers. "How did the two of you sneak it from Caine?"
"She improvised. She acted like she had never seen this place before and Caine bought it. He thought that she was another human who spawned into the circus. He gave her the tour, taught her the ropes... treated her like she was real."
Zooble closes their eyes, regret rushes in. "Then I started treating her like she was real. So did everybody else." They then look down at their drink, reflection wavering. "I-I don't know what happened. One moment we were friends and hanging out, next thing we're getting closer and—I don't know!"
"I know it's hard to make friends with NPCs—"
"I tried to kiss her, Pomni!"
The woman's voice halts as she gasps.
Zooble processes what they said before they run their clawed hand over their flushed face. "I—I don't know what happened. We hung around so much—She started finding ways to talk to me, all the time! I liked it—I liked her!"
A long pause.
"And so you tried to kiss her?" Pomni asks quietly.
Zooble hums. "I did."
"...And?"
Their eyes lower.
"I didn't." Their eyes then drift up, reminiscent. "She kissed me." They confess as they look at Pomni.
She couldn't help but hear the breathiness of their voice when they said it.
"Despite how I looked, how I was, she still kissed me. She liked me, too. I don't know what it was that made her attracted to me but, I guess she would've asked the same thing if she were in my shoes." They laugh under their breath.
"[Name], huh? She sounded nice." Pomni gives a small smile before it disappears. She looks at Zooble's face. "What... What happened?"
Their face turns to longing before giving in. "He found out because of an adventure. Me and the others were given the roles of heroes... Caine made a villain NPC and he invented something that took control of the other NPC's minds. It took her over. Caine found out [Name] wasn't human..."
Pomni scoots closer to them in solidarity. They look down at her with acceptance before looking back at you. "It sucked knowing that I couldn't do anything about it. Ironic, given that I was supposed to be a 'hero'. Caine made it clear he didn't want any NPCs in the circus. I get it, I really do, but not even allowing the ones that had their reality broken? It just seems so..." The two looked up at you through the window again. The previous song had ended—you were being thrown roses by the other NPCs, even catching one and smelling it gleefully.
"Dreadful?" Pomni adds.
"And gut-wrenching. They have their minds wiped and then they're used on a different adventure afterwards."
Pomni grips her slacks. "It would be horrifying if you gained consciousness and hopped from one place to another." She mutters.
The two then see the frog NPC give their instrument to another NPC in the band, walking up next to you and nodding. You nod back and the two of you look down at the mic as the instruments rang through.
Oh, the good life, full of fun,
Seems to be the ideal,
Yes, the good life lets you hide
All the sadness you feel
"I... I really did like her." Zooble tells the jester. "And that sucks because..."
Pomni frowns. "'Cause she's an NPC."
They nod. "Yeah." They murmur before sipping their drink. "It sounds sad, I know, but could you blame me? Stuck here for God knows how long, waiting for other people to arrive—but if they reach their limit, they, y'know." They look away.
Zooble's fingered hand taps the rim of their glass as they look up at you. Your frog partner takes hold of the stand, their hand slightly above yours as the two of you sing into the mic.
It's the good life,
To be free and explore the unknown,
Like the heartaches,
When you learn you must face them alone
"I don't think I could ever get over someone like that." Pomni's voice rasps.
"Y-yeah... I thought I did." Zooble mutters. They see your face move towards the window where they stared. You stare back as you sang before winking coyly and turning back to the audience. Zooble's shoulders quickly rise up as a blush forms, turning their head down and letting out a cough. "Looks like I entirely didn't!"
"But you don't have to."
"Huh?"
"You don't have to stop loving someone after you let them go." Pomni shrugs, "It doesn't always work like that. Sometimes, they become a part of who you are."
Zooble looks down to the ground and shuts their eyes, listening to the city's ambience and the sound of your singing from inside. They open their eyes again, a new light reflecting from them as they go to sit at a table. "I'd like to stay out here and listen. You can go back inside if you want." They pull out a chair and sit down.
Pomni then steps over and sits across from Zooble, her smile warm. "I'm not going anywhere."
Zooble stares at her before letting out an amused huff. "Fine by me." They say as they place their chin in their hands.
A few more songs play out, your audience swayed by the soft emotion of you and your partner. The others continued to talk inside the bar, peeking through the patio's window to check on Zooble and Pomni, who seemed content to sit outside and listen through there. A few hours later and the sound of the portal rushes through the bar.
"FINALLY," Jax groans as he stretches his arms up, hopping off his seat, "Ready to go to my room. At least I had some fun here."
Ragatha nods. "Yeah! And hey, at least we got to see an old face—"
"Quit being cheery." The rabbit presses his palm to her forehead for a second before releasing. The doll grumbles as she rubs the sore spot. Gangle walks near the stage as you dismantle your microphone.
"E-Excuse me," She stutters nervously, "I really liked your singing. It was nice to hear your voice."
You duck down on your knees as you face the masked woman. "Aww, I really appreciate it. You a singer?"
"No, haha. I'm... Actually an artist. I draw a lot."
"Two artists in one room? Oh geez, I must have some competition." You giggle as you lightly bop the middle of her mask with your mic. "Try not to forget about me when you make it big, please? Who knows when I'll buy a piece from you, honey."
Despite the sad look on her mask, Gangle gives a shy smile before turning to walk to the group. When you look up, you see a jester and angled triangle walk from outside. Your eyes continue to drift to the taller person's face, feeling your hands tighten around your microphone.
Gangle meets next to Zooble as they walk. "Oh, hey, are you feeling alright?"
"Yeah, I'm good. I think I just need some time for myself when we get back."
"O-Okay. If you need to talk about it, I'm willing to leave my door open." She comforts.
Zooble's eyes show gratitude. "Thanks, Gangle." They say as they all reach the portal.
"Excuse me," A familiar voice stops the group in their tracks. You wave your hand as you walk over to them, looking towards Zooble, "Couldn't help but notice you staring a lot. You enjoyed our show, yes?" You ask nicely, your hands cradled behind your back.
The others look at each other wearily as Zooble stares at you, their eyes half-lidded yet stirred with emotions.
To the group's surprise, they respond with, "Yeah. I really did."
You lay your hands to your chest. "I thank you kindly, you and your friends." You take a step forward and grab their hands. "And if you'd like, you're welcome here as many times as you want." You tilt your head and give a close-eyed smile.
Zooble's eyelids slightly shift up as they stare down at your hands. In all honesty, the familiar touch almost had them reeling—your hands laying comfortably like old times.
"Zooble." You hum at the sudden word. "My name, it's... Zooble."
Your staring turns into something soft as you give their hands a light squeeze. "Zooble." You test. Their heart squeezes. "I'll be sure to remember that name."
They know you won't.
But your voice was so sure of it, it nearly made them cry.
You slowly let go and put your hands behind you again. "Our doors are always open. Just know that we won't always be here. A girl and her crew need their rest after all." You whisper like it was a secret.
"I'll try to stop by." They say before slowly turning around. The others jolt and immediately go through the portal as Zooble turns around. As they near it, your voice rings again.
"Oh, and Zooble," You call out with your hand in the air. They turn around and see your face, contemplative and anxious. You nibble the inside of your lip before looking up, worried yet confident. "I'm glad I got to see you."
They pause as they take in your words. Their heart aches as you wait for their response, hands cradled and fidgeting.
"I'm glad, too... I really missed," They pause. "You."
You tilt your head again and laugh airly, your voice teasing. "Oh, we've met before, haven't we?"
They let out a small laugh. "Yeah, we did." They respond before walking into the portal.
𖦹—Yuri bitches don't break up, they just do this shit instead 💀
Pushing open your door, you found Zooble at the doorway. “Can I crash in here for a bit? Caine’s still trying to find me.”
You let Zooble in, closing the door behind them. They take a seat on an armchair, while you sat on the edge of your bed.
You chuckled. “Is he still serenading you with Daisy Bells?”
Zooble groaned. The antennae on their head twitched. “Don’t remind me… I can’t even relax in my room at this point.”
You sympathetically smiled at them. You jumped off your bed and rummaged in your nightstand. Holding a notebook in your hand, presenting it to Zooble.
"Want to doodle and pass the time?" you asked.
Zooble shrugged. "Might as well, before Caine forces us into another adventure."
You flipped open the cover, positioning yourself on the ground. Zooble joined you on the floor. Pulling out a comically large pencil, you began to sketch on the page with Zooble beside you.
