{The fifth continent, I want to go there
I will choose a moment to forever
The dream did not come to me in a dream
Oh, Australia is a far country
Oh, my dream, I'm dreaming about her
It's like I'm living there in reality}.
I have tried out a bit of watercolour on the last posts picture

I am a child of the late Cold War, it ended when I was just starting to grow up and buying games. I knew this was dated when I bought it, but still was worth it as a complete education in modern military hardware. I also loved the setting. Mad Max post apocalypse survival but with machine guns. Screw the last of the V-8, give me a tank!
In hindsight, the profusion of games in the 1980s with a WWIII setting showed that actually no one believed in it happening. The Soviet menace had become a mythical bogeyman, but despite all the posturing, the people had gotten used to it and had forgotten the Second World War, so couldn’t imagine it happening again.
It’s a great cover. One of the things I thought, is that if the Soviets had such hot broads in uniform, I would surrender.
