Modder was in Singapore to inaugurate the opening of a new technology centre in its regional HQ at Changi Business Park. The step-up of business footprint of the company’s regional headquarters in Singapore will bring the global IT consultancy & services company closer to its clients in the region, and enhance recruitment of local talent in Singapore.

CEO Sahba shared with me the company’s roll-out plans. Hopefully we’ll see pilot roll-outs in Singapore from February and in Japan from March.

The company now has 23 staff based in Singapore and Barcelona.

CTO German briefed me on the state of payments processing in the industry and the standards currently in place and being developed.

To me, the biometric platform that Touche has developed serves as an #identity verification & management platform that holds much potential in this digital age - and payments and loyalty programme management are but applications leveraging this platform.

Applications that the company could explore in the future include direct debit payments, fund transfers, management of airport check-ins - all of which require rigorous verification of private identity data.
