Grading online the way I like to grade is partially so much slower bc I'm spending a lot of time just waiting for pages to save and load and navigating compared to whipping through a pile of paper which is ABSURD
lord I KNOW no one is going to show up to virtual office hours but I need to stick it out for 40 minutes more in case someone DOES stop in but I am desperate to get out of this apartment and away from the ominous banging downstairs for at least a little while
I am 10x more likely to look upon your post-semester plea for a higher grade with mercy if you reached out to me earlier in the semester about how to approve. If you made no effort and then dash off an email about the injustices of your grade, I will roll my eyes and respond two hours later when my sass has died down. The answer will be no.

The spring semester starts next week, and I'm going to Toronto this weekend, so I'm trying to get the beginning of the semester stuff done before I leave Friday morning. After waking up super late, I took myself to Starbucks to edit the close reading assignment they'll be doing for the third class. The last time I assigned this, it was paired with Hemingway; this time, they'll be doing it with Poe.
