“Stickers?” She asked with a quizzical expression written on her face, she wondered what prompted Rock Lee to possibly want to bring stickers with him on their mission. She shook her head, feeling as though she were judging the boy for it, instead she ruffled his little bowl cut hair with her left hand. “Alright kid, you can bring your stickers with you. You’re going to have to fill me in on what they’re for exactly. Also, what kind of stickers are they?”

feet kick up on the coffee table, hands fold in his lap. damian is here on business, one too top secret to share ( he’s waiting for barbara to return from her room with a recipe ). eyes roll, landing on the man sitting quietly ( read: minding his business ) & damian cannot help but to break the silence. time moves faster when one has a target to fixate on.  ❝   where did you get those?   ❞   he gives no indication as to what he’s referring to but his eyes linger on the man’s black shoes.

     he’s not good with communication , he doesn’t remember the last time he’s spoken. It was never needed , and yet it was at the same time. Settling into the village took time , he was always here , and yet it seemed like he met new people every day. So he doesn’t know how to warn the stranger when their training was right in the middle of risking stepping on a fallen birds nest. He was actually in the middle of trying to find a relocated place to put them. The mother would be back soon. -- 

      Toji would instead , in his true fashion , the only way he knows how , he would stand over the other , stopping him from stepping on the poor creatures.

oh,  the  joy  of  returning  to  someone  waiting  for  him.         the  last  time  he  returned  from  duty  &&  had  dinner  waiting  for  him  his  father  was  still  with  him.      seeing  lee  greet  him  this  warmly  clenches  something  painful  but  sweet  in  his  chest;  arms  pulling  the  boy  close.            ❝    I  CAN  TELL!!      THE  ENTIRE  HOUSE  SMELLS  DELICIOUS!!    ❞        a  strong  hand  reaches  upwards  to  ruffle  lee’s  raven  hair  while  the  other  continues  wrapped  around  his  son’s  back.

❝    WHAT  WOULD  I  DO  WITHOUT  YOU??    ❞       gai  continues  to  hold  the  young  genin  close  for  a  few  more  seconds  before  finally  releasing  him  from  his  YOUTHFUL  embrace.       (      but  this  would  not  be  the  last  time  gai  hugged  the  boy  today      )      his  sandals  are  abandoned,  even  his  jonin  jacket  ends  up  hung  to  the  wall;  without  it  him  &&  lee  really  did  look  near  identical.      it’s  something  gai  finds  adorable  beyond  words.        ❝    I  AM  STARVING!!     LET’S  EAT!!    ❞

                     SOLDIER MARCHES INTO            the rumble of a world affected by thanos.  finds fragments of what he once knew.  ice has long since thawed,  but a scattered mind already seeks something new to cling to.  hardly a rest for a thing that barely sleeps.   boot kicks forth a rock,  regrets it the second it connects to the metal of a garbage can.   ❝  hey,   you  ⎯⎯⎯⎯    ❞     come here motion is made to stranger.   needs to be seen,   drifting between the cut ties of being between missions.

livvy’s never been cold before; warmth radiates from her like the gentle glow emitted by a shining star and the cold always eludes her. but not now. even with lee stiff and curled and huddled beside her, sharing what meager body heat he can come up with, arm braced around her shoulders the cold seems to have permeated into her very bones, making it harder to think about anything other than the chill.

at least not until the footsteps sound on the other side of the door and her head snaps up at the sound. she can’t protect them, she thinks. she couldn’t summon enough flame to light a match, let alone enough to hurt them.

lee seems to recognize her fear as the deadbolt scrapes open, the older boy softly and fiercely declaring his willingness to defend her if necessary. all she can do is burrow a bit further into his side, hands balling into fists.
