Maybe some headcannons for how Tabe, Setsuno, Nemoto and Spinner would react if their s/o fell asleep leaning against them? Like they’re sitting together and their s/o slumped against them as they fall asleep, cuddling their arm because they feel safe with them??

Tabe

At first, Tabe doesn’t realize that you’re asleep. He’s just wondering why you’re suddenly so close to him.

When he eventually figures out that you’re asleep, he sort of short circuits.

Before, he had trouble just believing that you’d want to spend your time with him, and now this??

When Tabe gets over his initial shock, he takes a moment to admire the peaceful expression on your face. He might even place a gentle kiss on your face.

Tabe literally will not wake you up. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been asleep for hours or if he has to do something, he will stay put until you wake up on your own.

Setsuno

Having you asleep, leaning against him, makes him tear up a bit. 

His s/o, whom he loves deeply, trusts him to protect them? *sniffle*

Setsuno loves nothing more than having you close to him, so keeping you on his arm is now a priority.

Setsuno takes his duty as your guardian very seriously. He becomes hypervigilant about anything that would injure you. He’ll even glare at anyone who’s being too noisy as they walk by.

Reluctant to mention it to you when you wake up because he’s afraid you’ll try to avoid doing it again.

Nemoto

Very chivalrous about it. He’ll find a blanket or jacket to put over you so you don’t get cold, and he’ll reposition his arm to make you more comfortable

He probably has stuff to do, but between you and paperwork, you’ll always come first.

Nemoto takes this opportunity to acknowledge how lucky he is to find such a loyal s/o.

He’s definitely going to brag to the other precepts about you falling asleep on him if he gets into an argument with them.

Once you open your eyes, you’re greeted with a kiss, even if you’re not fully awake and have no idea why it’s happening.

Spinner

Oh man, this poor boy. His brain breaks a little when he feels you lean up against him.

Not that he’d ever move you. If you want to lean on his arm, he’s all too happy to let you stay there for several hours.

He honestly has trouble believing that he could’ve ever found someone who truly cares about him and loves him for who he is, but here you are.

After a while, he finds himself leaning into your body heat and getting sleepier.

Eventually, he ends up repositioning you so he can lay down with you on top of him. Spinner’s the only one out of these boys who’d actually end up drifting off with you tbh.

Post-Valentine’s Day Special

It was no secret that Setsuno absolutely adored you. He loved you so much, in fact, that he would shower you in gifts and affection whenever you were together. For you, everyday was Valentine’s Day. Because of this, you weren’t expecting the holiday to be any different. Truth be told, you didn’t really want it to be any different. You’d hate to have Setsuno worrying over how to make it special. But that seemed to be exactly what happened.

He’d gone to the trouble of making breakfast for you, though it had taken a few video tutorials to do so. After you ate, he’d taken you shopping, letting- and sometimes encouraging- you to get whatever you wanted so he could pay for it. In the evening, he took you out to dinner at an expensive restaurant, and then to a movie.

When you were finally home, you were excited to give Setsuno his gift, though it paled in comparison to everything he’d given you that day. That’s when he shoved a bouquet of flowers and a box of chocolates in your hands. “(Y/n), I-I can’t even begin to comprehend how much better my life’s been since I met you. Everything about you is so perfect, and you’re always there for me, no matter what. I’m sorry for everything you’ve had to put up with, I hope this makes up for it.”

You took the flowers and chocolates from him and set them on the bed behind you, before pulling Setsuno into your arms. “Toya, I love you for you! I’m more than happy to comfort you when you’re sad and calm you when you’re anxious because that’s what people do when they love each other. You didn’t have to do any of this for me. Just being with you is enough- you are enough, Toya. Actually, I got you something too! It’s not much, but I thought you might like it.” You sat your boyfriend down on the bed before going to your nightstand to retrieve the gift. “Here.”

Setsuno hadn’t really expected you to get anything for him. He didn’t think he deserved it, but apparently, you thought differently. Inside the box was a framed photo of you two together, a large bag of his favorite candy, and a note reminding him how much you loved him. Setsuno began to tear up and you held him again, tangling one hand in his hair while the other rubbed circles into his shoulder. You knew him well enough to know that these were happy tears, and smiled to yourself. You’d do anything to keep him happy like this, and lucky for you, it didn’t take much.

All day, Tabe knew something was off. Everything seemed normal, but he couldn’t help but think that he’d forgotten something. Heading out the door for work, he remembered. Work had been cancelled today because too many people said they wouldn’t be there. That was it right? That had to be it. But you were acting strange too. You kept glancing over at him out of the corner of your eye, all through breakfast, and when you two were watching TV. It was beginning to make him nervous, so when you announced that you were out of milk, he jumped at the offer to get out of the house for a bit. He even decided to walk, since it was a nice day out.

On the way, he caught sight of a familiar face. It was Setsuno having lunch in the park with his girlfriend! He decided it would be okay to go say hi, since he’d met her a few times before. When Setsuno saw him walking over, his expression changed from content to concern.

“Hey Tabe! Where’s (Y/n)?” Setsuno’s girlfriend asked.

“A-at home.” He always got nervous speaking in front of other people, even if he knew they were nice.

“You’re not… with her?” Setsuno spoke almost as if he was trying to tell Tabe something else.

Tabe shook his head. “Just going to the store.”

“Tabe, do you know what today is?” When Tabe shook his head again, Setsuno continued. “It’s Valentine’s Day.” 

Tabe stiffened and his eyes grew wide. “I-I forgot!” He grabbed at his hair and began to hyperventilate. 

Setsuno’s girlfriend went over to him, grabbing his wrists to stop him from hurting himself. “It’s okay, Tabe. It’s still morning, you can just get her some flowers and chocolate while you’re at the store!”

“But she’ll be mad at me!”

“No, I’ve met (Y/n), she loves you so much. She’ll love anything you get for her, as long as it’s from you, okay?”

Tabe nodded and she let him go, walking back over to sit with her boyfriend. He inhaled and turned away from the couple, mind swimming with worry. What if she was wrong? What if you were already mad at him? What if you hated whatever he got for you? What if you left him? He whimpered a bit at that last thought. Tabe could barely handle being away from you for a day, much less forever.

He wanted to get home to you as soon as possible, but the gift section at the store was huge! So many choices, each only slightly different from each other, but what if he picked the wrong thing? He settled on a large box of assorted chocolates, a bouquet of your favorite flowers, and a pink stuffed bear. You would like it, right?

When he arrived home, he put the milk in the fridge and set off to give you the gifts. He found you in the laundry room, idly humming a tune. He cleared his throat to get your attention and offered the gifts to you when you looked up. “I’m sorry.”

“Sorry for what, Sora? I love it!”

“I forgot what today was until Setsuno reminded me. I’m sorry I should have remembered.”

“Don’t worry about it! I’m honestly lucky just to have you.” You wrapped your arms around him and he couldn’t help melting into them. “I’ll always love you, no matter what you do or forget to do.”

Hojo stood outside your door, unable to make himself take action. He had no doubts in his mind that you loved him, so why was he sure you would hate his gift? It seemed almost an insult, to question your loyalty. You had been with him for so long that Hojo couldn’t remember how he had gotten by without you. You were even willing to move into the Shie Hassaikai hideout with him when his boss decided that it was too dangerous for the group to reside anywhere else. You’d even told him not to bother with getting you anything. Money was tight, so none could be wasted on unnecessary purchases. In truth, he hadn’t actually bought anything, in fact, the only thing he needed to look for was some string and a drill, both which could be found at the hideout. It had taken him hours to make, but still…..

Hojo was snapped out of his thoughts by movement from the door in front of him. Before he could do anything, there you were, your face five inches from his, looking very surprised to see him. “Yu! I was just going to look for you. How long have you been standing out here?”

“I, uh, well, I have something for you.” Hojo was usually awkward with love, but this was different. He wouldn’t even meet your eyes, and kept fidgeting restlessly.

“I’m sure I’ll love it. Why don’t you come in here and show me?” You ushered your boyfriend into the room (which was more like a closet than anything) and onto the bed in the corner.

Hojo handed you the neatly-wrapped box, still refusing to make eye contact. “You said not to buy anything, so it’s kind of cheap. I can get you a nicer one when things cool down.”

You lift the periwinkle necklace out of the box, grinning even wider when you saw the two matching bracelets under it. “What are you talking about? These are beautiful!”

“They’re not worth anything-” 

“I don’t care! I think they’re far nicer than any gem from a store, and besides, they remind me of you, so I’ll never feel alone.” You tore your eyes from the jewelry to look at him, only to find that he had turned away from your gaze. You caught sight of the blush on his cheeks anyways, and couldn’t help the feeling of pure joy that bubbled in your chest. Hojo really was terrible at hiding when he was flustered.

He sat on the edge of your bed for a while, wordlessly, while you tried on your new accessories. The silence was broken by Hojo’s personal conclusion of the day. “I’m so lucky to have you in my life.”

Tabe SFW Alphabet

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?) 

Really wants affection but he doesn’t think he deserves it and is too shy to ask. He’ll literally never turn it down though. If you’re upset, he might give you a shy hug but will let go immediately if you seem like you’re not enjoying it.

B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)

If you’re friends it’s probably because you started hanging around him, Hojo, and Setsuno, and they just… adopted you. He doesn’t talk much, but is super loyal and caring. If you get hurt, he will be worried nonstop.

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

Loves cuddles. Having someone caressing him and cooing in his ear about how perfect he is is unbelievable to him. He feels unworthy of your touches though, so he also needs plenty of reassurance. As long as he’s sure you’ll like it, Tabe will wrap his arms around your waist and stay like that for hours. Your scent is intoxicating to him, and he’s so grateful that you’re willing to let him do this.

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

It would make him sooo happy to settle down with you. He’s awful at cooking, but actually not half bad at cleaning, since Overhaul’s kind of drilled it into his mind.

E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

Even if things weren’t going well for you guys he’d feel too guilty to break up with you. To him, it could be taken as “I’m better than you so I make the rules”, and he would never put his opinions above yours. If things got really bad, Hojo and Setsuno might have to step in for him, but they’d hate to do anything that would make him unhappy.

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

Wholly devoted to you from your first date. You’re the first person to ever really want him and he doesn’t want to give that up. He’d never force you to commit to him though, but if you ever suggested marriage, he’d probably cry.

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

Very gentle with you. He needs to make it clear that he would never hurt you. All the same, if you ask for hugs from him, you’re not slipping away anytime soon.

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

Honestly, Tabe gives perfect hugs. Not too tight, not too loose, and he’s really warm too. He’ll only hug you if you ask, though. Has a habit of nuzzling your neck while hugging you.

I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)

He’s terrified of rejection from you, so it takes him a lot of time and encouragement from you to say it. When he does, it’s quiet, and probably muffled by your shoulder.

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)

He gets jealous when you’re around anyone he thinks of as more desirable than himself. So basically, anyone. He’s not a controlling boyfriend though, so he won’t try to hint that he’s jealous, he’ll just suffer silently until you take notice of him and realize something’s wrong.

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

Tabe gives shy and hesitant kisses. He’s scared of seeming too disinterested, but more so of coming on too strongly and scaring you off. Usually just kisses you on the lips when you initiate it, but really loves getting forehead and ear kisses.

L = Little ones (How are they around children?)

Either nervous or right at home. He shares the hyperactivity and constant hunger of a small child, so he’s the perfect candidate to play with them and distract them from whatever destructive thing they were just doing. But this can also make him a little self-conscious around too many other adults, especially a crush he wants to impress.

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

Tabe secretly loves waking up and seeing your face. He’ll prolong cuddling as long as possible, but knows he eventually has to leave for work. If you get up first and make him breakfast, he’ll be in a good mood for the rest of the day.

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)

At the end of a long day, all Tabe really wants is plenty of affection and cuddles. He doesn’t care if you go straight to bed, take a bath first, or watch a movie, he just wants to be with you. To lay on your chest while you run your fingers through his hair and ramble on about what happened that day or what you hope to get done in the future.

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

Will tell you anything and everything about himself if you ask. Not used to talking much, but will try as hard as he can for you.

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)

For you, Tabe has all the patience in the world, and that’s saying a lot for him. If you’re ever mad at him, he blames himself completely, and will do whatever is necessary to make amends. If you keep doing things he doesn't like, he’ll be more anxious, but will eventually attribute this to his own faults as well.

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing or do they kind of forget everything?)

He tries, but isn’t always successful at remembering everything you say. Really wants to be the boyfriend who’s always surprising you with your favorite flowers or taking you to your favorite restaurant, but he always gets nervous when putting things together and forgets.

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)

He cherishes every moment spent with you, but his favorite has to be when you asked him out for the first time. He had been crushing on you for months and it was beginning to become painful to watch you enjoy spending time with everyone else. Still, he knew that acting on his love would only get him rejected, and that was far worse than this. So when you came up to him, smiling nervously and suggested going out with him? He couldn’t believe it. After having you repeat yourself a few times, he was so ecstatic that he couldn’t help but pull you in close for a hug.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

Tabe isn’t protective in the sense that he’ll keep you away from possible suitors, but he is protective of you being in danger. This is one of the many reasons he wants to be with you everywhere, so he knows you’re safe and that he could protect you from anything that would possibly hurt you. As for himself, the only thing you’ll really have to protect him from is himself. Tell him he’s good enough for you, play with his hair while cooing softly about how handsome he is, make sure he knows that you’ll never want anyone else, and he’ll feel safe and secure again.

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

He tries, he really does. He’s just not aware of how to be a traditional boyfriend, so you’ll have to sit him down and explain stuff to him if you want regular dinner dates or things like that. He’s eager to comply though, anything to keep you happy with him.

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

Obviously, overeating, it’s hard to keep food in the fridge for too long before he gets to it. Also forgets to do stuff like turning lights off and shutting doors around the house, so you’ll have to try not to get mad at him for that. He can’t really handle having you mad at him, it sort of sends him into panic.

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

Very insecure, but he knows there’s really not much he can do about it. He’ll be so relieved if you love him despite how he looks.

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)

100%. You keep him together and give him more love and affection than on a daily basis than he’d ever thought he’d receive in his life. He’d be so broken without you, sometimes it feels like he needs you just to breathe.

X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)

He doesn’t talk much because like every other part of himself, he’s insecure about his voice. But unlike looks and his quirk, he has total control over how much others hear him speak, so he chooses not to talk. It’s a measure of his trust in you when he speaks to you, and he realizes this, but he’s still shy when you act happy and surprised about hearing his voice.

Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)

If you try to restrict his eating habits, give him a standard to measure up to, or limit how much he can hang out with his friends, you’ll have a very upset and stressed Tabe on your hands. He won’t necessarily leave you, but he definitely won’t be happy in the relationship.

Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habit of theirs?)

Prone to falling asleep when you cuddle him. It’s just so relaxing around you, and he feels so safe and happy he can’t really help it. If you pet his hair or sing to him, he’s gone almost immediately.

Sick!Tabe Fluff Headcanons

// I got sick again because my immune system is about as strong as a toothpick. I’ll be better when I post this, though. //

Tabe is miserable when he’s sick.

He’s hot and cold at the same time, always exhausted, and everything hurts for some reason. He doesn’t even feel hungry.

Tabe doesn’t want you to get sick or feel obliged to take care of him, but it’s hard to deny himself the pleasure of having your warm body next to him, fingers carding through his hair, soothing words being whispered in his ear- he doesn’t have the physical or mental strength to pull away.

He might not be hungry, but he’ll definitely eat if you offer him food, especially if you feed it to him.

Because he doesn’t want to be demanding, Tabe won’t tell you if something bothers him. He will answer honestly if you ask, though.

Tabe hates the way the cold medicine tastes, but it’s not hard for you to sweet talk him into taking it.

Also, you’ll be seeing Setsuno and Hojo a lot more. They’ll hang around for a few hours and silently judge how well you’re taking care of their friend. But as long as you put a washcloth on his forehead when he’s hot, smother him in blankets when he’s cold, make sure he has food and medicine in him at all times, and stay by his side in case he needs anything, you’re doing well in their eyes, and they’ll leave you undisturbed to tend to him.

You sighed, scanning your eyes over the room for the tenth time that minute. Anyone else in your position might be looking for an escape, but you had ruled that out a long time ago. It’s not that it was impossible, which it may very well be, but that you didn’t want to upset your captor. Call it Stockholm syndrome, but you couldn’t bear to hurt Tabe’s feelings, not when all he wanted to do was protect you.

‘And he’s been doing a pretty good job of it, too.’ You thought, glancing at the bandage on your abdomen. It was the result of a mugging gone wrong, and probably what lead Tabe to bring you here.

Hearing the door creak open, you looked up. Tabe made his way in, breakfast tray in hand. He set it down next to you, then moved to the end of the bed to watch you eat. You tried to ignore him while you finished up your meal, his unbroken stare becoming more uncomfortable by the second.

The sound of metal pots being dropped on the kitchen floor made you jump and your eyes shot to the door. Tabe’s eyes followed yours, and he made a soft noise. Despite living in Tabe’s house for a little over a week, he had neglected to say anything to you, leaving you to figure out most things on your own. You had to find out his name and your reason for being here from Toya Setsuno, the least intimidating of Tabe’s two friends.

“Oh, it’s o-one of your friends, isn’t it?” He nodded and turned back to you before looking down when he noticed you staring at him. You could only imagine that he was blushing, but it was hard to tell with the mask over his head.

“Tabe-” You began, stopping when his head snapped up. Tabe couldn’t help it, hearing his name in your voice gave him such a nice, fluttery feeling in his chest that he was suddenly overcome with a desire to hug you. He reached out to you, but you jerked away from the unexpected movement, and he quickly withdrew his hand, afraid he might have scared you.

You moved away from him to the other end of the bed, taking in a sharp breath as you tried to digest what happened. Tabe didn’t usually make quick movements around you, if anything, he was slow and unsure, trying so hard to get you to trust him.

When your heart rate steadied and you looked back over at him, he had turned away from you and trained his eyes on the ground. Realizing you might have hurt his feelings, you decided to bridge the gap between you to comfort him. He wouldn’t hurt you, right? Right??

You decided to find out, reaching a shaky hand out to touch his shoulder. He turned to look at you, and you froze for a moment, but managed to force yourself closer to him. You could practically feel the blush radiating off his face, and you wished his mask wasn’t in the way. Focusing your eyes on the shag carpet floor, you decided it couldn’t hurt to ask. “M-maybe you could, uh, take that off s-so I could see you better?” You peered up at him for a response. He tensed up and looked away, so his eyes couldn’t meet yours. “I, uh, j-just thought I’d be less, you know, n-nervous around you if I could see you.” Tabe hadn’t moved, so you took this as a no, and started talking quickly. “It’s fine, you don’t have to, I don’t want to force you to do anything, I’m just being weird, I guess.” Unbeknownst to you, Tabe was having a war with his thoughts. If he took off his mask, you would probably find him ugly and hate him even more. But this was the first thing you’d asked of him, and he wanted to make you happy. He decided that it was better to do what you wanted than to be disobedient, and risk you getting frustrated with him.

Nervously, Tabe fiddled with the rope that kept his mask on until the knot came undone and he pulled it over his hair, refusing to make eye contact with you while you took in his features. His appearance was surprising, but nowhere near repulsive. If anything, his anxious smile and messy dark hair were quite endearing.

Gaining confidence, you placed a hand on his cheek, thumb gently stroking his face. Tabe closed his eyes and subconsciously leaned into your palm, letting out a pleased whine when your other hand began to caress the soft hair at the nape of his neck.

When your hands got tired and you finally pulled away, he reached out to you again, slowly this time, and you let him wrap his arms around you and happily nuzzle your shoulder. You sat like that for a while, silence broken only by the sounds of whoever was cleaning the kitchen downstairs, until Tabe turned to gaze into your eyes.

“I love you.”

“So you can talk!”

What he needs in a s/o: Someone who can cook. Don’t get me wrong here, Tabe will find dozens of other reasons to love you once you get together, but he’s most likely to pay attention to you when you first meet if you offer him food. Also, a patient s/o would help, since he hasn’t really dated before, so he doesn’t know what to do. Setsuno tells him to get you flowers. He picks some wildflowers for you, but they get crushed on the way to your house. He’s a little embarrassed, but you love them anyways. Because of things like this, it’d probably be best if you took the lead in the romantic side of the relationship.

How he acts with a crush: As previously stated, Tabe probably first noticed you when you offered him food. That, or you’re particularly nice to him. He’s not used to that, so it stands out to him. Once you’ve caught his interest, he’ll stare at you a lot. And I mean a lot. If you look over at him at any given moment, you’ll see puppy dog eyes staring back at you. Kinda shameless about it, too. He’ll only look down in embarrassment after you two have been looking at each other long enough to make the others suspicious. He’s too shy to talk to you directly, but that’s what friends are for. Setsuno and Hojo might try to intimidate you at first, but they’re only looking after Tabe’s well-being. Once they’re on board with the idea of a relationship between you, you’ll find yourself alone with Tabe a lot more.

Pros of dating him:

Grateful- Honestly, Tabe’s just so happy to have you in his life. He’ll make sure you know how much he appreciates you and literally everything you do.

Good listener- Tabe could listen to you talk for hours. The sound of your voice is just so soothing to him, he has trouble paying attention to what you’re saying sometimes. But if you seem angry with someone or something, he’ll be there to actively listen and give what little advice he can.

Supportive- Going along with the ‘good listener’ trait, Tabe is also very supportive of you. He respects you and your decisions to the point that if you were to give him advice on anything, you’d immediately get his full attention as he tries to commit your words to memory. He’s not that great at giving advice, but he still tries, and sometimes even that can make your day.

Best hugs ever- I don’t know why, but I headcanon that Tabe gives the best hugs. Not too weak, not too strong, not shaky, awkward or sweaty, just perfect and warm. It’s not really based on anything, he just seems like the type to give good hugs.

Bodyguards- If you involve yourself in the yakuza in any way, even just occasional visits, you’ve definitely spent time with Setsuno and Hojo. They might be suspicious of your motives at first, but once they realize how important you are to their friend, they’ll protect you like their lives depend on it. If you ever need anything and Tabe isn’t around, those are your go-to guys. (Will probably have to copy-paste this into their headcanons, too…..)

Cons of dating him:

Clueless- When I said he hasn’t dated before, I mean he really hasn’t dated. The first few crushes he had when he was younger all rejected him, so he never really bothered with romance after that. This can be a problem if you have expectations of things all boyfriends should know to do, like scheduling regular outings or bringing you flowers ‘just because’. His appetite- Suddenly, you have to make 2x the amount of food you normally do, and leftovers? Don’t even think about it. Tabe doesn’t see it as a problem at first, but he’ll start to think more about it later on, secretly wondering if he’s being a burden on you. If he notices you getting even the slightest bit annoyed while cooking, or eating with him, he might slowly stop eating your food. The last thing he wants is for you to be upset with him. This could cause new issues if you make other assumptions as to why he’s not eating your food anymore.

Friends- Setsuno and Hojo are nice to have around, but it can sometimes be a bit overwhelming. You’re only dating one of them, after all. If you confront Tabe about spending too much time with them, he’ll be both confused as to why you don’t like having them around, and worried that the three people he cares about most aren’t getting along. You’ll have to explain that you just want a bit more time alone with him.

Big Spoon or Little Spoon? Kind of awkward and unsure with all things relationship, so probably a little spoon. It gives him a chance to ponder how lucky he is to be here with your arms wrapped tightly around him. That being said, if you were to give him instructions on how to be the big spoon, he wouldn’t be opposed to that, either. Remember, best hugs ever.

How to make him happy: To make Tabe happy, be patient with him and tolerant of any mistakes or miscommunications. He really is trying to learn how to be a good boyfriend, so stick with him and he’ll feel like the happiest man alive.

Some angsty fluffy Tabe x reader?

So, I made it a ficlet. I don’t know why. Anyways, enjoy.

“Sooooo, did you guys break up or not?” (f/n)’s question hit (y/n) like a truck.

“What? Of course not! I love him more than anything, I just really wish we could spend more time together without his friends.”

“You told him that?”

“Yeah.”

“What did he say?”

“He was just really confused. He kept asking me why I didn’t like them. I do like them, I mean, Setsuno and Hojo are good friends, but I don’t want them with us all the time.”

“So, what did you need my advice on?”

“I need to know if I’m overreacting. I just- now that I’m hearing it again, I sound so selfish trying to keep him from his friends, after all they’ve been through together-”

“(Y/n).” (F/n)’s no-nonsense tone knocked the girl out of her thoughts. “You’re not overreacting. Frankly, I’m surprised this issue didn’t come up sooner. At the same time, I do see where he’s coming from. If you’d like, I can go talk some sense into him.”

(Y/n) couldn’t help but smile at her friend. “Thanks, (f/n), you’re the best.”

“I do try.” (f/n) responded, mirroring her friends’ smile before setting out to find Tabe.

Tabe had been agonizing over his girlfriends’ words all morning. She had told him she wanted to spend more time without them, but she also said she liked spending time with them? It didn’t make any sense.

The longer Tabe thought about what had taken place that morning, the more he began to realize that he couldn’t remember what happiness was before (y/n) was in his life. Every memory without her seemed so lonely and empty, he didn’t think he could handle it if she decided to leave him over this.

A knock at the door made Tabe jump, and he scrambled to see who it was. Before he could open it all the way, (f/n) pushed her way inside. “TABE.” She said sternly, before he could question her. “You and (y/n) had an argument today, yes?”

Tabe flinched at the word ‘argument’. “Y-yes.” 

He opened his mouth to say something else, but (f/n) cut him off. “And you didn’t understand why she didn’t want you to be with your friends, yes?”

“U-uh, yes.”

“What if I decided to tag along with you two, everywhere you went. It would get annoying pretty fast, right?” After a moment of silence, she added “You can be honest.”

“Yeah, I guess it would.”

“That’s how (y/n) feels about Setsuno and Hojo. She likes hanging out with them as friends, but there are times she just wants you.”

Tabe blushed and looked down. “Not anymore.”

“What do you mean, ‘not anymore’?”

“I made her upset with me. She doesn’t want to be with me anymore.”

“What are you talking about? She was worried that she upset you!”

“So, (y/n) still loves me?” His eyes flickered with hope.

“Of course! She just wanted to spend more time with you.”

Tabe’s smile grew even wider at these words, and he hastily followed (f/n) back to your house.

When (f/n) and Tabe returned, you were blasting music and singing so loudly that you didn’t hear them come in. You also didn’t hear (f/n) wish Tabe luck, before heading back outside, or your boyfriend nervously climbing the stairs to the room you were in. You didn’t even hear him open the door and walk up to you until you turned around to see him and your life flashed before your eyes. Seeing your shocked expression, Tabe panicked, worried that he might have messed up again. As you shut off your music, your ears were introduced to the sound of his desperate apologies.

You grabbed his hands, and he stopped mid-sentence. “Tabe.” You began, and he felt his knees weaken from hearing the way you said his name. “It’s okay. I’m not mad at you, alright? I just wanted us to be together more. I’m sorry, I should have phrased it better.”

You smiled, but Tabe was confused again. Why were you apologizing? You didn’t do anything wrong! “I-I’m sorry. We can do things together, whenever you’d like! Please forgive me!”

“Oh, Tabe, how could I not?” You pulled him into a tight hug that he gratefully returned, pressing his face into your shoulder, almost shaking from pure relief. You weren’t going to leave him. You were going to stay together. It was going to be okay. He was going to be okay.
