What time period would your MC be most comfortable in (assuming the Wizarding World doesn’t have any prejudice towards any categories they fit in)
Elori
Hands down the 1920s! A time where decadence and intellectual pursuits blossomed together. The Great War just ended (and they didn’t know there was going to be another one) and optimism clashed with moral bankruptcy and questioning the meaning of life. I can definitely picture her in any part of the Lost Generation. Her characterization is all about searching for knowledge, a noble pursuit, but there’s also a hint of overindulgence and rot.
Lucretia
She’s a little harder to place. I’m tempted to say Ancient Rome just because of her name origin. She lives a fairly cushy lifestyle that definitely matches the life of Roman nobility as well.
Tabitha
I inspired Tabitha heavily on the Victorian Era and the expectations of a lady during that time period. Mark Twain’s quote on the Gilded Age (which is a fairly similar time period, just Americanized) "The Golden Gleam of the gilded surface hides cheapness of the metal underneath." Tabitha is a girl that does her best to fit in with what is expected of her given her social standing. But she doesn’t fit into any of the molds she squeezes herself into. However, her narrative paints the “metal” underneath as much better than the gold.
