Beach Episode Season 4
I’ve never been one for the water. All the warnings from Mother’s lips about riptide currents and sudden drops-offs kept me close to shore at all times - and to this day, I avoid water, no matter how shallow, But the Paladin, he loves the water. Paladin Danse said the waves relax him - and that seems to be so, even when the waves bring in Mirelurks or those crawlers or whatever else the Commonwealth spawns. Never mind the radiation that eats through even power armor.
Paladin Danse wanted to check on Nordhagen Beach, so here we are. The settlers so far have been making a go of it here, crops taking hold in the thin, sandy soil. But what struck me, as we walked along the beach, was how at ease the Paladin seemed. The usual tightness in his jaw softened a little, the stiff posture relaxed, and his eyes shone with - something almost.. peaceful, as he stared over the lapping waves. If Paladin Danse finds comfort in the sound and movement of the waves, perhaps water isn’t so scary after all.
