Hoo boy, okay.
So here’s the deal, be prepared for a long rant. I’ll bold the important parts.
I have an Intuos Pro Wacom Tablet. It’s medium-sized but that doesn’t matter I guess. The tablet connects with a detachable cable, which gets plugged into a USB port and into the right side of the tablet (or left side, if you’re left-handed). Unfortunately, the cable jack on the tablet is messed up and it doesn’t connect because it won’t stay in. It wiggles around and the lights don’t stay on for more than a few seconds.
But fear not, right?
Because the cable is detachable and therefore optional. I just have to connect it to the wireless setup, which includes a battery, and two wireless connectors, one for the USB port on the laptop and one for the tablet itself. Which is all fine and dandy. But the battery needs to be charged. And once I have means of charging the battery, I won’t have to worry about the cable ever again. Sounds great! But how do I charge the battery, you ask?
By plugging in the cable.
To charge the battery, the laptop has to be plugged into a power source by the cable. There is no battery charger in the box, and as far as I can see, this is the only way Wacom planned for the tablet to be charged. It’s by far, the stupidest and most flawed design choice that Wacom could have ever made. But I guess hindsight is 20/20, yeah?
So, here’s what I was thinking.
I’m going to save up some money, and buy a universal camera/phone battery charger. Hopefully, I can take the battery out and charge it on the wall, then put it back in to use the tablet’s wireless function. Because the wireless works fine, I’ve tried it before. In fact, the only reason I started using the wireless function is because the cable got screwed. But the plan is charging the battery with a third party charger, and if all goes well, then I could totally start drawing again.
Because I know I’m disappointing some people by being so inactive, and I’m sorry.
Hopefully, I only have to safe up like 10-50 dollars (prices varied a whole lot when I looked up the chargers online ;A; ). But I’ll definitely make updates when new things happen, and try to keep everyone in the loop.
It’s hard to be on Tumblr when I have nothing to offer the community, haha... I’ll try my best to be active without art for the time being, but I know that’s what everyone’s here for, so I completely understand.
Thank you all for being patient, and again, I’m sorry for the inconvenience.
... ??
YOUR TABLETS HAVE BEEN UPDATED!
Harebell Graveyard. It appears a graveyard has been implemented into the park. A very large one, at that -- right across from the dinky children’s playground that’s available. Several Sentinels can be found patrolling the area inside, but if you get close to them, they don’t react. The only time they seem to take notice of you is if you get too close to the gravestones... Well, gravestone. There’s only one right now, and judging by the fact the ground is perfectly flat, mud and residue from the rain aside, it doesn’t even look like there’s a body actually buried there. The gravestone reads:
Everyone walked by, And I, Unnoticed. Indifferent to the thunder, Of The Gunshot.
Nothing more, nothing less. Not even a name.
At any rate... it’s best to keep your distance. Not that you have a choice. The Sentinels aren’t going to let you get too close...
Tablet's coming back tonight! A few days earlier than intended return date!!!!
He's gonna be new and I would have to break into him again and customise my baby but he's coming home wooo!!!!!
I can't wait to draw and play games and stuff.
Update on my tablet
I just got it back from the repair shop and they couldn't find a screen to replace the broken one so I'm going to have to find someone else, but they did say I could look to see if I could find the screen online. I'm doing that right now, they said it has to be the exact model or else it's not gonna work and because I have a old model it might be hard to find one, but I'm going to try! I love this tablet and its been there for me for so long, I'm not gonna give up on it. Here's a picture of it right now
ahahahaha i can kind of draw.
I just have no sensitivity.
Just like the rest of my life. *thumbs up*
I HAVE A SECOND TABLET I REPEAT SECOND TABLET
