family has always meant a lot to me, my parents always made sure that i was close with my aunts, uncles, and cousins. especially my brother. we’ve had some pretty good arguments (or fights) in the past and he’s put up with a lot of my bs and it’s so amazing to see that as you get older, you really truly start to appreciate family. i’ve noticed that my brother and i’s bond has gotten stronger because instead of just saying a few words every now and then and me annoying him constantly, we’re slowly starting to talk about what went on in our day and a little bit of our feelings. like that one time i got drunk, i told him everything that i wish i could tell him but couldn’t because he doesn’t need to know about how worried or concern i get about him, it’s a pretty emotional topic. then today he told that he cried at the end of his anime and i asked why but he coudn’t figure it out. so he showed me the clip and i can hear him crying behind me and i looked up at him and i almost wanted to cry. but i needed to be the bigger person here. so i hugged him until he was okay and asked what’s wrong, and the part that made him cry was the word nostalgia. then immediately i knew what he was referring to. that little week of fun meant a lot to him
