So if Sunday couldn’t get any better, I found out while driving to Galveston for the TACAC Conference I’d been selected for the Rising Star award. My dearest friend Tony Sarda nominated me even though neither of us planned to be there so the surprise was a delight and I am so honored and humbled. Professional development has allowed me to grow and fill a void that keeps me going when the challenges of the day to day are hard to overcome. This organization has done all it can to support me along with these incredible people I’ve been blessed to know. I couldn’t have gotten anything done with MMI without Tony and Jenny and anyone who is willing to give up their time to volunteer and I am forever indebted to them. I grew to care about MMI and TACAC so much and to have people recognize that only motivates me to keep going. I am so lucky to have found a career and people that fill my cup. #tacaconthego (at Moody Gardens)
