I am still debating with myself whether I should start The Sign or not. So I watched some bits and pieces and during the trailer, I was like, this theme song sounds like a Thai Eurovision entry. If they wanted to join that is. We are very accommodating in our corner of the world, you're welcome.
Then I looked up the official MV, and I mean, LOOK AT THIS DUDE.
Nothing, dare I say, nothing, screamed more Eurovision to me since last year's contest itself. Tachaya my man if you want to represent any country you'll fit right in. Everything checks:
some spoken words/ wannabe rap section
dramatic hand gestures
ridiculous outfit INCLUDING WINGS of sorts
vocal runs in the chorus
the chorus itself having an addictive hook backed up by the hard guitar arrangement
that switch from a 90s-like ballad in the first verse to a full-on rock fest later on
You have to have an acquired taste to appreciate this song (joking) but it is definitely, hmmm, something. It went straight for my Eurovision feels and I am not complaining lol.
