You mention the fact the computer doesn't have native internet access in another ask, this leads me to believe one of the people who visited put one in! Would you say it was likely one of the people in the circus or do you think it was someone who didn't put on the headset- for how many people put on the headset, I imagine there were those who didn't.
I could see it being Abby trying to see if she can surf the internet on this old-ass PC from the 90s
Did one of the cast put in a wifi-dongle or is there perhaps another explanation in your AU?

I definitely think it's another random UrbX guy for this au that gave the PC access to WiFi, though they took the dongle with them when they left (can't just leave behind your wifi dongle that's money) given Abby would've long since left the building when Caine had access to Internet and I can't think of much reason she'd go back after about a month of total elapsed time. This would leave Caine, at the current moment of the comic (aside from being OoS), unable to access Internet unless Grant put in a different WiFi dongle or if Grant had Dial-Up still in his house. He could! Seems like the kind of guy (will probably go for an Ethernet connection honestly)
