I suppressed my Tadashi kin for so long after my ex boyfriend ghosted me because I always thought of bh6 as "our" movie but now one of my best friends kins Hiro and he calls me his Tadashi and it feels. Really nice. To have a reason to feel positive about this kin again. Im so grateful to him. We're not actually canonmates but he's still my Hiro

so i was bored and watching youtube as one does and somehow found myself in a rabbit hole of disney/pixar theories and um. well this is a new kintype i wasnt even aware of... the source isnt even one of my favs? i dont think ive even seen it since it originally came out and now i gotta deal with this-- a hiro hamada who grew up, went back in time to save tadashi, only to realize that I WAS TADASHI THE WHOLE DAMN TIME, and realize that i have to die in order to form Big Hero 6... timey wimey shit

I drew a sort of vague doodle of my team's Kunoichi. My only vivid visual memory of her that I have was the day I found her, and she was on the ground on her stomach, so I can't remember her face. But I do remember her usual hair style now, and while it doesn't seem like much, it's... nice to have to physically look at.

Can't tell if her name was Amari or Amane... Amari was the first one I went with, and when I tried to remember it recently I got Amane. Though as I typed this I did have a thought: what if that's her name? Like one is a clan name and the other was her given name? That'd make a whole lot of sense.

Just remembered I can just look this stuff up, and yeah! Those are both existing names, with Amane being the clan name! So her name was Amane Amari... That's sort of a relief, honestly. I finally remembered one of their names... Makes me hope that one day I'll be able to remember each of their names and faces.

Canon divergences!

As we got older, Lee started growing his hair out again. I think it ended up as a similar style to when he was a child, and I think it really played a part in visualizing his own independent identity (even if he didn't realize it, lol). He also looked... Different? Just. Different. I'm not sure how to explain it, but the way they portray him as an adult gives him a sort of uncanny valley look, if that makes sense? It's strange. It's very close, but some things are just wrong, and I can't really describe it any better than that. It's like they wanted to keep that "strange"/"intense" look at the expense of how he'd actually look. Which is an.. interesting choice, but hey that's just me.

Metal also had longer hair, though he kept a shorter "bowl-cut" sort of style at the front. He was so cute, honestly, lol. At some point someone cut his hair for some reason, and I remember being so mad because it made his so so sad; he was really proud of his hair. Plus, I think he felt weird being the only one with short hair in the family, and it broke my heart whenever I saw him fiddling with where it had been cut.

Also, for the mundane memories!

As an adult I would wear more traditional clothes around the home, just cause it was simple and comfortable, lol. I didn't often go full traditional, though, just mixed the style with modern clothes for something comfortable to wear for casual use. Like taking care of my garden or just hanging around the village. Sure, I still had my regular ninja outfit for missions and more official business stuff, but that was practical use.

I can't remember why I rejected it so outright as a kid, but that was definitely a choice I made later in life. Sometimes an old man just wants to be comfy, and I was lucky that I managed to look good, cause that was Not My Priority, lmfao!

I remember my hair ended up getting extremely long, too. Like the "tie it up when you have to do Anything practical or you will hurt yourself" kind of long lol. I think hair might've held some sort of significance in my clan, which is really cool since that ties in with current life stuff! I think it's very fun when my lives have little things that tie them together like that.

Going to a cookout tomorrow to catch up with some old friends, and I'm so excited! So excited, that I fell face first into a Tadashi shift without realizing it until [checks nonexistent watch] five minutes ago. I've started making the kinds of foods I used to back then, and even in this life it's still a fan favorite, so I didn't even think twice about it. Until I almost asked if Naruto would be there, cause then I'd have to make extra.. 💀 like. No. He's not going to be there....

I think the whole "seeing friends I haven't in a very long time" addition to the cookout is what was the catalyst for this shift. Because, I haven't talked to my friends (that life) in a long time, either. Idk. I'm still excited, but it hurts a little to know part of my excitement was because I thought I was going to see faces that -nowadays- only exist on a screen... Super bummed about that lol.
