Lilacrunner adored her father Tadpoleflight who was sent to the Dark Forest for murder. In my headcanon (and so in Willowclan canon), she followed his memory to the Dark Forest and was outraged that he was there and attempted to bring him back to Starclan, failed, and decided she would remain with him in the Dark Forest.
