“How long are you going to run after her, Taehyung?” Yoongi inquired, standing in the door frame of his friend’s room. Taehyung sat on his bed, groaning when he heard Yoongi’s words; he grabbed a couple of pillows—one in each hand—and proceeded to throw one in his friend’s direction and with the other he covered his ears, furiously kicking whatever blankets from his bed.“Until she forgives me,” he mumbled in between his fit. Shaking his head, Yoongi began approaching Taehyung, suiting himself on the bed, too; he stole the pillow from Taehyung and began hitting him softly with it. “You’re stupid,” he stated.“Then what should I do? I tried giving her her space. I left her alone for days, so that she could think or do whatever…but I certainly won’t sit around doing nothing when she starts seeing someone else, alright!?” “Try it,” Yoongi countered, earning a raised eyebrow from Taehyung. He sighed: “Try it for once. Don’t run after her. Go live your own life without her. You’re digging your own grave. Do you think you can just continue showing up in the same places she does, speaking of some greater coincidence and go on with apologizing for treating her like she was some object? Taehyung, you’re my friend, you really are. But you really fucked up with her. By all love, move on. That’s what she did when you didn’t care at all how she’d feel.” Taehyung held his head again, kicking his friend in the sides. “It’s not like I demand of her to get back together with me…just that I want her to forgive me and not look at me like I am a ghost or anything like that.” Yoongi have him a look and to that he groaned: “Fine, Yoongi, I’ll do it. I’ll leave her alone for this stupid Jungkook to have all for himself. It’s my fault, but still, I leave her the fuck alone. Now go and leave me alone.” It was a lie. Just a lie to get Yoongi to leave. Taehyung was nowhere near giving up, as he saw it—leaving you to that other guy (even though he contributed a lot to that) was a no-go, and he’d continue to apologize for what he did, hoping that one day you’d just forgive him and come back to him, home. He’d not stop to text you, not stop putting tulips to your door every morning; there was no way he’d stop. Because the hopes of erasing his mistakes, as impossible it is and it will never happen; those hopes would only die with you or him. It was as simple as that, and Yoongi knew it, and you knew it, too. But what could you do? Nothing.
