I always liked the Snow Faerie, what do you think of her design?
Taelia's got a pretty solid design, and is one of the better early 2000s faeries. It's also remained surprisingly consistent over the years: black bob-cut with blue highlights, a large fur-lined parka-esq coat, angel-style feathered wings with a blue underlayer, and a blue dot in the center of her forehead. (Not entirely sure why the dot is there, actually—it resembles a bindi, but nothing suggests Taelia is religious or Indian). Most variation is that she's sometimes shown with two darker blue stripes on her coat, multiple coat layers, and/or blue sclera (standard for most modern faeries).
What I like about this design is that the color palette is very coherent—light blue, cream, and black, which is used to draw emphasis to the head. It also does a very good job conveying her status as the Snow Faerie: the thick parka and feathered wings* convey a sense of warmth and the colors are appropriately icy. I also appreciate that her parka usually covers her entire body and they don't go out of their way to show lots of bare skin when she lives in sub-zero temps.
*(Is it just me, or were her wings in the original art above supposed to have icicles hanging from them instead of just blue feathers? Would've been cool.)
My only nitpick is that she should be portrayed as wearing gloves more often, as she's oddly bare-handed when they're not hidden in her coat sleeves. Other than that, though, I think she's pretty... cool :).
