Thoughts on the 9 new void pets?
Grouping these together for brevity's sake:
Eyrie: The Eyrie is very nice. The pet style was already really pretty, and they did a good job of translating it into the converted pose. Everything has good contrast, the face is easy to read, and there's just the right amount of stars.
Techo: The void Techo's also pretty nice. I like the tail fading away, the subtle gradient on the underbelly, and the patterning is nice and not too "stripey". The stars could be a little more prominent, but that's about it.
Lenny: Again, same good qualities as the others: not too much striping, good amount of stars, good contrast, no lineart is lost. Only issue is that the void bubble placement feels a little too even.
Poogle: The face lineart gets lost; I think a pink would've stood out a lot more. However, I like the amount of stars and the magenta accent sare well-placed, and it has some nice shading. Plus, some void pets lose their lineart way more than this, so I can't complain too much.
Scorchio: Again, good star placement and good contrast overall. However, the hand lineart gets lost, the fade on the tail and horns feels abrupt, and the underbelly really needed a bit of a gradient; it feels very flat as-is.
Shoyru: You can see the lineart on this one, and the stars look good. Really, my only issue is that the blue wing shading feels a bit random.
Varwolf: The face gets lost in the mane a bit and the mane itself has some strange lighting (the eyes also blend in too much, and it could use more stars). I like some of the details though, like the fading tail-tip.
Jubjub: Again, lineart disappearing into the void around the mouth. The striping is also really obvious here. I do like the way the hair highlights are handled and the stars look good, so it's not a complete wash.
Gelert: The Gelert, however, is a complete wash. It's extremely dark and all the lineart is completely lost. It also has some very obvious "striping" to the void patterning and the underbelly is overly flat. Just lacking a lot of a depth compared to most void pets.
