why do you like your lie in April? I'm asking this as a person who didn't like the series and never completed it :( but Id like to hear your opinion on it!

well, to be honest with you, I read and finished the manga first, but I only watched a bit of the anime! since I already knew everything, I wasn’t hyped to ‘find out’ what was going to happen and the lack of time didn’t allow me to finish it. but I tend to recommend the anime to people who don’t seem to read manga because I still want for them to check out the story.

to put it simply, I love it because I’m a classical music enthusiast, and I have a little bit of background in music knowledge (basic, but still haha) and as a pianist it’s always nice to see a series and/or manga related to something I love. your lie in april opened the doors of classical music to people who didn’t know much about it before and that makes me incredibly happy, because I am always eager to show others how beautiful this genre is. I feel the same way about nodame cantabile and sakamichi no apollon (which restored my love for jazz). and that’s my main reason, really! it goes way beyond the plot haha. I guess my second reason would be kaori’s character and the beautiful message she gave out - how you should stick to your passions as fervently as you can because you never know how much time you have left.
