minor character appreciation moment! i really love tanda stokeworth. we don't see much of her, but what we do see is pretty much always her trying to support and advocate for her disabled daughter as best she can within the limited influence available to her. i think she is so obsessed with marrying lollys off not to get rid of her, but because marriage to a relatively compassionate man from a good family is the best way to ensure that lollys will have someone to take care of her and a respectable place in the world after her mother is gone. its not a perfect solution, but i think its one of the most intriguing examples of how ladies in asoiaf use what limited leverage they have to protect themselves or the people they love.

and lady tanda definitely loves her child. when lollys went missing during the bread riots, she lost her mind with fear and had to be physically restrained from rushing back into the rioters to rescue lollys herself. that moment was such gutpunch.

also, tanda stokeworth and her daughters canonically wear matching outfits on special occasions. i know its probably just their house colors, but i like to picture them in cute mother-daughter clothing sets :-)

Struggling to take a picture of my accidental Beethoven hair (I have been trying to get this look for so long and of COURSE it finally cooperates right as I'm going to bed), I ended up getting a picture of myself that - for once - I actually really like. Still didn't manage to really capture the hair, though. It's so much better IRL, trust me.
