Please, pay attention to not tag Hetalia characters by only their country name.
For example: "Philippines" ❌
Please, don't mix Hetalia content with non-Hetalia content.
Do it like this:
"Hws India" ✔️
"Aph Portugal" ✔️
"Hetalia Macau" ✔️
We tag it like that so that Hetalia fans can search for those specific characters/ships, etc. If you tag Hetalia content with tags that are not related to Hetalia, the probability of a Hetalia seeing your content (unless he/she is already following you) is close to 0%. And that s#cks. So, this is a good way to make your content (posts) more visible to other fans.
So, please reblog this and make more fans aware of this.
PS. This is directed to all fans, I don't care if you are new or an old fan. I only ask you to not tag "country oficial name alone".
Hello! How are you? I just wanted to ask you how you do to keep your blog so organized? Everything is so clean, and sorted by hashtags, and stuff! Thank you in advance ^^
hello! i’m doing good, sleep deprived, but good. i hope you’re doing fine as well! (≧◡≦) ♡
my blog being organized is something i really want to maintain. it requires a bit of work but it’s so worth it once you have a whole system to help keep your blog all sorted up. so today, i’ll be giving you my tips / what i did to have an organized blog!
01. PLANNING.
Before the whole tagging system, I did a bit of prepping first. I thought about what tags I want to sort my posts and reblogs with.
For example, as you can see in my navigation, my tags are sectioned into several groups.
1. Members
2. World / Universe
3. Genre
4. Status
5. AUs
I personally have them typed down in an Excel sheet. Here’s a screenshot of a snippet.
Having something like this helps me keep on track and prevents me from being lost in my mountains of tags. This is especially very helpful when I’m dealing with my AU and smut tags, where there a looot of tags. And it also tells me if the tag I’m about input is in there already. So, no dupes!
Don’t know what to include in each groups? This was my problem back when I was just getting started with this blog. But I thought, I don’t have to include every single genre, universe, or whatever tags existing instantly! I can just add them later. Here’s what I mean.
1. Look at your posts or reblogs first.
2. Most fics have their member, genre, universe written on them, so just tag it with the correct member, genre, universe, etc.
3. List down those tags in their respective groups.
And then you can basically just add more and more tags as your blog gain more and more posts! But other than the basic genre, member, etc. tags, you can also add special tags like favorites for your favorite fics or whatever is your favorite. It’s your blog! Feel free to add tags that you feel is relevant.
02. THE TAGGING SYSTEM
What you really came here for! But really, once you have a log that has all your tags documented, this is just easy. <( ̄︶ ̄)>
As you can see in my Excel sheet screenshot, I put prefixes before the actual names.
m:bts — g:fluff — l:oneshot
This is something I recommend you doing with your tagging system. Personally, it really prevents me from having any confusion plus it keeps things look uniform and organized!
But remember, you can only add up to 20 tags per post. Any tags beyond the 20th would still be there, but they would be invalid. Meaning, they won’t be seen under that specific tag even though they’re tagged in that specific group.
Once you got all your tag prefixes, tag groups, and tag names figured out, you're basically all set!
03. ADDITIONAL INFO
Making a navigation post.
Feel free to have mine as your base! Just make sure you add the groups in how you sort them. I’m not gonna explain the whole technical details of this as this is stuff most people here know. But if you don’t have a clue and has no clue what to do, feel free to let me know!
Links of the tags.
Here’s what I personally do.
1. Go to my Tumblr page. (https://[your-username].tumblr.com/)
2. Scroll down to any posts that I tagged.
3. Right-click any tag and copy the link address.
4. Since I tag my tags similarly to each other, I just edit the link with the proper prefix and name.
For example, the tag I copied the link from is m:jungkook but I’m gonna use it for the tag g:fluff.
This is completely optional but I highly recommend you to add one. None only does it add something to your navigation but it can also attract eyes! (☆▽☆)
I won’t add an in-depth tutorial on how I made mine here as this post is already getting pretty long. But a basic summary of my usual process is look for pictures I can add, open Photoshop, and do whatever I can to make it look somewhat decent.
If you do want to see how I edit in a more detailed way, just let me know!
Also, please add line breakers! It can be a cut out of your own header, or an accent color, or anything. It really helps make things look neat!
I hope this helps! An organized blog does take a bit of effort but you can do it. (๑˃ᴗ˂)ﻭ
If you want more additional tips or is confused with something, please don’t feel shy. Just hit my ask and I’ll be very happy to help.
OH my gosh, you just did it with the tags on that Ten x Rose post, so I'll ask you. How do you copy the tags into the caption section of a post? I'm sure it has to be some sort of xkit extension, but I can't figure it out!!!
Technically you don’t need xkit but it makes it a lot easier. (cause if you’re following somebody and have the “view on dash” extension, you can click on any post on their blog and it will show it on their dashboard.)
Basically you want to see the post as it appears on the dashboard like this:
and then you highlight the tags, copy them, and then add them to a reblog. It will look like this:
Then I personally like to just trim the general tags out (like the #tenxrose, etc.) and put spaces between the words and the # so it’s not “like#blah” but instead “like #blah”
And then of course, at the end I credit whoever wrote the tags and I like to include the link to the post on their blog in their username :)
hey can you tell me how you made your tags? like you click on the tags bar and then there are more separate tags... how do you do that?
Go to your Tumblr page and click "Customize". Then scroll down until you see the link that says "Pages". Click that and then click "Add Page". If you’re making a page with different categories such as “tags" then you put your Tumblr URL and then add tags to the end. For instance, http://beyondtheplanetsandthestars.tumblr.com/tags would go in the Page URL section. Make sure that you add a page title while doing this in the "Page Title" option. Also make sure that the "Show a link to this page"box is checked. Then in the body of that same pop-out box, you type out your categories.
Once you’re finished typing the categories, you highlight your first category, for example, my first category is Bruno Mars. So highlight your category then click on the link option so that this box will appear. Then in the "Link URL" section.
Copy and paste or type your original tumblr page url example http://beyondtheplanetsandthestars.tumblr.com but then you need to add tagged/whatever you want your tag for that specific page to be at the end. For example the url link to my Bruno Mars page is http://beyondtheplanetsandthestars.tumblr.com/tagged/bruno .Then you can either decide if you want the page to open in the same window or a new window. Then press insert and you’re done.
And then you just repeat the same thing for any of the other tags that you decide to use.
Okay, anon, allow me to give you a brief tutorial.
Step 1: Let's take Whitney's post as an example.
Step 2: Highlight the tag you want to copy. Then ctrl + c.
Step 3: Hit reblog. In the text box, click below the info text that's already there and hit ctrl + v (paste). The tag will now show up in the text box.
