fandom (or og story): Originally a VTMB character, but now I consider him an original character as a part pf my setting called The Dearth, and the VTM version of him is an AU.
Side note: Some of his appearance is still the way that it is as a consequence of starting life as the Male Toreador model in VTMB, especially his red hair, but since moving him to the original setting the red hair has become a Meaningful Symbolic Trait.
full name: Mikhail René Bissonnette
gender: Cis male, but he looks good in drag and lingerie
age: 130 years, but his body is permanently 27
race/ethnicity/class: white, and upper middle class in life. More firmly upper class in death, by virtue of his sire being one of the vampires who're good with money and accrue a lot of value - you could say he's a kept man.
describe them physically: Reasonably tall at 5'11, slim and athletically built, with a chiseled, conventionally attractive face, long eyelashes, sleepy eyes, and a prettyboy haircut that manages to strike both "90s heartthrob with curtain bangs" and the timeless beauty of a man with long hair at the same time. His skin is very clear and has almost no blemishes or marks other than a couple little moles on his body and the occasional blue veins when he's dehydrated with hunger. Has black body hair and the knowledge that it will regenerate by the next sundown if he shaves it off, so he freely alternates between wearing it out and shaving his body, depending on his mood or costume.
His body will always 'reset' by nightfall any changes he makes so that it looks the same as the night he died - the only constant is the changes in his hair and eye color that came on gradually as a result of Odette's experiments on him. (he waited too long to get his first tattoo when he was alive because he wanted it to be something with meaning that he would still be happy having on him as an old man -- now unless he meets a magical tattoo artist with enchanted ink, he's completely lost the opportunity for permanent tats. Though if you're a nonmagical tattoo artist with normal inks he'll let you draw just about anything on his etch-a-sketch-ass skin for the few hours it'll last)
His color palette, sans clothes, is stark white and red like blood on marble, due to his extremely pale skin and vivid, berry-red hair and pink-and-red eyes. He always has two noticeably pointed upper canine teeth (Cute Little Fangs) but in the anticipation of biting into flesh, they grow long and needle-like and his lower canines visibly elongate as well.
When he's freshly fed on blood, his skin becomes slightly less pale, warmer and rosier, and while still quite slim his frame has a healthy layer of fat. When he's hungry though, he looks like he's dehydrated and cold: his skin is stark white, more shrink-wrapped to his bones and muscles, with a bluish tint to his lips and the shadows around his eyes.

describe how they dress: This ended up being easier to explain with images but basically:
In public and in private, 75% of the time Mickey is dressed in casual clothes: layered sweaters + shirts, straight cut jeans, patterned button ups, baseball tees, sneakers, etc etc etc, and plain white or silly patterned underwear, sometimes a gay little crop top.
The other 25% of the time he loves wearing high fashion, runway looks, sheer fabrics, lace, mesh, lingerie, leather, etc etc etc. He can get very dramatic and very queer. Man loves to get in costume.
favorite things: movies and animation, theaters and playhouses, the beach/ocean, dancing, parkour, rainy nights, springtime, really big dogs, cats, foxes, pigeons, bonfires, sports cars, reading the newspaper, books, touch and intimacy, long conversations in quiet smoky bars, public transportation, getting a secondhand high from drinking drugged blood, black and white era films, things that are simple and rough and purpose-built, weird or bad art made with the artist's entire soul, worn surfaces and evidence of use that mark the passage of humans (palm-shined brass, wear marks in linoleum, small dirty handprints on the low parts of walls), people who are hard to charm, the smell and taste of blood that's hot with anger or arousal, getting punched in the mouth, drinking blood while fucking, taking photos, boats, floating on his back in water, moving real fast (on foot, in cars, in the air), the parts of dawn that he can stay awake to see, aurora borealis, documentaries about world history or niche jobs/trades, the sound of hearts beating, a good heavy flannel, meeting new people
least favorite things: the taste of bagged blood, emotional honesty, baroque/rococo decor, things that are too 'fancy', total loss of control (to someone with ill intent, to his own bloodlust), killing by mistake,
hobbies: getting to know new people, crafting characters and personas to embody, shopping, dressing up (knows a lot about and is comfortable wearing makeup for a guy who usually doesn't and is primarily very masc - again, theater kid). not to be repetitious but going to movies and dancing at clubs, talking about movies (the man went to school for acting and filmmaking, being a cinephile is a big part of his personality and movies and TV are the main pop culture media he's actually kept up with closely since his death, while his knowledge of music and video games is extremely dated)
quirks: As much as possible, avoids arguing with or contradicting anybody; if you say something he thinks is dumb or doesn't agree with, he'll entirely resist the urge to tell you so and just say something meaningless and amiable before diverting your attention to something else in the same breath. Pretends to be a lot more vapid and airheaded than he necessarily is, asks goofy questions, plays dumb. Resting expression is a faint smile. Has a habit of rubbing the corner of his eyebrow with his pinky and looking off to the side when he's thinking a lot harder about his next sentence than he wants to let on.
As a vampire, his quirks include:
having an abnormally powerful and unstable bloodlust (higher risk of frenzy when starved/injured compared to the average vamp)
has no reflection ONLY in silver; mirrors or other reflective surfaces that don't contain silver will reflect him normally
requires an invitation to enter private dwellings (slightly uncommon weakness in VTM setting)
sometimes suddenly adopts the behavior, body language and speech patterns of his sire :) wonder what that's about
what's up in the romance department (and if they're aro, are they in a queerplatonic relationship): Mickey is bisexual and very prone to falling in love. He was engaged when he died, and only stopped considering himself engaged when he learned his fiancée Lennie had married someone else. Later he fell in love with a guy named Anthony who was his best friend at the time, but who was unfortunately already married with kids, and they had a few fleeting intimate encounters particularly when Tony's marriage wasn't doing great, but mostly he watched Tony grow old and die without him.
Then he picked up a young soldier named Walsh while grieving Tony - first intending to just get an easy meal and then deciding to throw a pity fuck hidden inside a one-night Romantic Boyfriend Experience because he could tell Walsh needed it the moment their eyes met. But then they met again, and they got along well, and one thing led to another...
As far as emotionally committed and devoted relationships, Mickey only ever has the capacity for one of those at a time, but regardless of his relationship status, he still gets around a lot for someone who doesn't have like, an innate libido. He's not asexual but he does feel kind of relieved to be less guided by his sexual urges than he felt as an alive young man -- he enjoys it, but arousal and sex is entirely a conscious choice he makes, for a variety of reasons: as a part of his feeding process either as a precursor to or consequence of biting someone if they're kinky, a bargaining chip to get to bite someone willingly or a pretense to sneakily bite someone without raising alarm; as a trade for a supply of bagged blood; because he's with a friend who he likes and his friend's kinda horny and it's a fun way to spend their hangout time; because it'll make someone like him more whose good side he needs to be on; because his sire told him to; and occasionally, rarely, for the sake of intimacy and closeness with someone he's in love with
best qualities: Fun, outgoing, cheerful, open-minded, goofy, down for anything, good listener, interested enough in people that he remembers everything about them. Sees the beauty and intelligence in all sorts of people others would write off as having none. Goes out of his way to include people in conversation if they seem out of their depth.
worst flaws: Lies a lot, lies to everyone, lies to himself. Destructively impulsive, a little too boisterous (can be annoying), used to being the center of attention and tries too hard to get it if you aren't giving it to him, enjoys killing a bit too much, has a bad habit of killing by accident. Tries to play all sides of every conflict and befriend everyone, right up until it blows up spectacularly in his face.
would you say they're a good person: I would say he wants to and tries to be a good person and it shows, but he sure does kill a lot of people.
fears/phobias: panics when set on fire (which, no duh, but you can do most other nasty things to him and he barely feels it -- fire is the one thing that REALLY HURTS and causes him to feel mortal terror); being permanently scarred/having his appearance ruined. Also hates to have the bite scars on his neck from being sired touched, and gets REAL jumpy if anyone's teeth get near them.
tell us in a few lines how you got the idea for them/how they came to be: I played the male Toreador in VTMB and decided his background was that he was an aspiring Hollywood actor whose life and career were ended just as he had his big break, inducting him into the 27 Club. I liked the idea that he has a habit of rolling over for and acting obedient and unflappably friendly to everyone all the time so that by the end, when all the conflicts he was being dragged into the middle of came to a head, nobody QUITE knew for sure which side Mickey was on until the moment he finally picked a side and showed his true allegiance. And even the people he ended up siding with (the Anarchs) were kind of surprised, because he sure did wheel and deal and say whatever he needed to say to EVERYONE in the city.
