The Time Alice Theodora Moran Died, Once And For All
It wasn't supposed to happen. none of it. Alice had been visiting Jed in the hospital, and he'd ended up prolonging her talk with him. She had to get home in rush hour. Cold winds blew the woman's ebony hair all in her face. Cars raced past her, lights shining on the rain. Those rainy, wet, slippery streets. Alice slipped, everything moving in slow motion as her head hit the asphalt. Her life flashed before her eyes.
"I'll be home soon baby girl, soon."
"Well Sebastian’s a @#!*% for keepin’ me a secret - met you once though, when you were a little wrinkly thing. Wouldn’t stop bawlin’ - I was surprised ‘Bassy didn’t toss you out the window he never had much patience, s’pose you’re different though."
“you refer to your father as Jim, interesting” she hummed leaning forward “what is your relationship like?” She asked curiously.
“Attempting to reclaim my name. Caring is a disadvantage. When you care, you have liabilities. It’s better to have none.”
"Not very lively is it?"
"Not in this part of town, no."
You spank people often enough that it’s a habit?" Bloody good habit, if you ask me. No one did. And yet you agree. … Shush. "I wasn’t wondering, mostly because I saw you drink enough to knock most girls your size on their @#!*% ."
“It must come in handy”. She replied, her free hand tracing Cassandra’s jawline
"It does, believe me…"
"i’ll take you up on that offer"
“Well I’m glad you think so.” She said with a small laugh leaving her lips. “I don’t see it, but thank you.”
"I just had to."
"Thanks, suicide boy."
And the tires passed over her, crushing her completely. Almost no one would mourn her, although a small handful would.
This was truly the death of Alice Theodora Moran.
