It’s become a running joke that Bri and animals don’t mix. Voted most likely to be kicked off a horse or pecked by a hen. Spending time between divorced parents' homes growing up meant pets were a no. It simply wasn’t an interest to her working/busy parents to keep pets either. Similarly, her non-stop work schedule as an adult is not conducive to owning any. She recalls her French grandmother owning a pair of colorful love birds that she liked to watch as a child; she also recalls one pecking her finger hard enough to make it bleed. It’s not that she dislikes animals, she simply doesn’t know how to act around them and domesticated or not, she doesn’t trust them. As the joke goes, animals can sense her hesitance/uncertainty/fear and it never ends well (jk I'm just mean).

❝  addi!  ❞  neteyam  hissed  as  the  girl  disappeared  within  a  narrow  opening.  he  crouched  low,  forced  to  maneuver  his  body  at  an  awkward  and  uncomfortable  angle  in  order  to  crawl  after  her.  it  was  a  tight  fit,  the  edges  of  where  the  sheets  of  steel  had  fallen  and  the  overgrown  vegetation  around  it  scraping  harshly  at  his  skin.

          neteyam  shook  off  his  discomfort  once  he  was  inside,  standing  to  his  full  height  and  watching  her  with  a  stiffened  upper  lip.  both  she  and  lo'ak  seemed  eager  to  discount  his  caution  for  cowardice  leaving  him  with  little  option  but  to  follow  them  into  their  foolish  treasure  hunts.  he  inspected  the  AMP  suit  she  had  found  for  only  a  moment  before  he  turned  his  attention  back  to  the  contents  of  the  hanger.

          much  of  it  appeared  to  be  abandoned  as  opposed  to  damaged,  neglected  and  left  to  errode  from  time.  the  darkness  however  concealed  much,  only  a  thin  strip  of  natural  light  falling  from  a  large  open  hole  in  the  ceiling.  he  paced  around  addi's  suit  as  she  scavenged  for  whatever  it  was  she  was  searching  for,  ignoring  her  criticism  and  watching  their  surroundings.           there  were  the  familiar  sounds  of  nature,  the  wind  current  as  it  whistled  through  open  crevices,  the  trickle  of  water  from  a  loosened  pipe  or  a  natural  stream,  but  the  shuffle  against  hardened  steel  was  not  natural.  neteyam  hissed  sharply  as  she  called  out  louder  than  necessary.

          ❝  just  hurry  up  so  we  can  get  out  of  here,  ❞  neteyam  whispered  furiously,  he  tipped  his  chin  back,  sniffing  the  air.  there  was  the  unmistakable  sting  of  steel  and  metal,  the  cold  scent  that  accompanied  human  technology  but  there  was  something  else  as  well  .  .  .  blood.  neteyam  snatched  his  bow  from  over  his  shoulder  and  had  an  arrow  notched  within  a  single  fluid  motion,  ❝  there's  something  in  here,  ❞    //    @tahnisreu  continued  from  here

fingers trailed across her cheek erasing evidence of errant tears that had spilled from topaz hues. shoulders slouched and tail was limp as kiri left the computer terminal which housed all of her mother's video files. to be so close, yet so far, plucked at the young na'vi's heartstrings every time she visited hell's gate.

unaware of her surroundings, lifting the breathing mask to her lips, kiri inhaled just as she brushed past a smaller figure. startled, the teen dropped her mask and looked down with bleary eyes. she'd seen the other youth before, a handful of times, but had yet to interact with addi. "i'm sorry," she breathed, patting the girl's shoulder. "i wasn't paying attention." @tahnisreu

  kiri crouched low to the forest floor, sheltering beneath the broad leaves. it was quiet. altogether too quiet, considering the usual carrying-on of the forest. the kind of quiet that reeked of fear, everything in the forest cowering, lest they be the first to be found. the hiss of addison's mask seemed loud by comparison. kiri knew it wasn't nearly as much of a giveaway as it seemed, that it was only her nerves that made it seem as loud as a yell, but it still made her tail twitch with nerves. she left her hands held out level with the forest floor. her eyes were blown wide as eclipse, and she mouthed be still to the older girl, too afraid to risk speaking them aloud. guarded, but relaxed. deep breath. it will be okay.

15. Are they good at cooking? Do they enjoy it? What do others think of their cooking?

Besides nannies, Brianne was often in the care of her retired grandmother on her father’s side. Her grandmother liked to get little Brianne involved so they would garden and cook together and that’s how she learned her way around a kitchen. In her teens and uni years when she visited her mother in France, she often signed up for French cooking classes as something to pass the time. Cooking is a casual hobby and a form of stress relief, but her job leaves her without much time to engage in it. Also, due to this lack of time in the kitchen, she sticks to a small list of favorite recipes and rarely ventures from them. Others would say her food is good (these recipes are fail-safe) and especially so because she can afford to use the highest quality ingredients.  While she eats like a mouse and isn’t a foodie per se, cooking (and certain comfort meals like a British Sunday roast) is something she comes to surprisingly miss when she lives on Pandora. Not much good can be said about RDA rations and processed food. Though much of Earth’s overpopulation subsists on edible protein and processed algae (straight from the RDA's sea farms), a rich person like Brianne could get her hands on real proteins and organic produce.

👌 - what are some of your muses quirks?

his asymmetrical facial stripes, very noticeable in comparison to everyone around him whose facial stripes are mirrored almost perfectly

his two front teeth are noticeably longer than his other front teeth ( excluding his sharp canines )

is a perfectionist. he becomes obsessed with perfecting the things he does, whether it's weaving, carving, singing, archery, knife fighting, fishing, he will push himself to his limits and is meticulous for technique.

he tries to act as a bridge between his siblings and parents when it comes to roles of authority, tries to be the mediator when things get tense and will bench his own feelings in order to keep the peace or make things easier for everyone else.

he's shier than people realize. not quite comfortable in social situations, tends to overthink and becomes a wallflower, will gravitate to the older generation because he's used to functioning in their spaces. when he's with people his own age he tends to feel like he's boring or too mature to understand them.

enjoys teaching others, if you want him to come out of his shell, ask him to show you how to do something.

can't take a compliment unless it's from his parents. he'll dismiss it or point out where things can be improved or a mistake he made.

is a bit of a loner. unless he's with his his parents or siblings he's usually alone.

he has an interesting gait that makes his hair fling everywhere, he's oblivious to this.

he can recognize people by the sound of their footsteps and will use this to his advantage when his siblings try to sneak up on him. the only person he can't identify is their mum because she makes literally no noise. instead he just recognizes her by smell.

speaks in short concise sentences.
